25.7 Re-read a book that is special to you. I reread this book because I'm about to begin reading a series of books by the Bronte sisters. It opens up the world of the Bronte's for me but makes me feel bad also because it explains much of Branwell's behavior which has gone down in history as being spoiled and drunkard.

The Infernal World of Branwell Brontë

Book 2: So read a book that clearly includes the person or relationship that describes you and your book dealer in the Goodreads summary.
This book may seem like an odd choice but when I was young reading did not come easy to me and I needed remedial help. This book selection mirrors that relationship with my adult son who has Asperger's and needs coaching how to get a job, how to relate to people, the do's and don'ts of social cues, etc.

20.9 - Moderator's Pet - Wayne's task: It's Stampede Time!

REQUIRED: State which option you chose when you post.

Option 3:

➜ Read a book that is #8 in a series, as identified on Goodreads (series name, #8).

The 8th Confession by James Patterson

**James Patterson is a Goodreads Author**
I listened to the audiobook, but have linked to the PB version.

30.2 - Jonquil’s task: Takin’ It to the Streets

This is a TWO book task; you may read books from both options or repeat one option with two different books.

REQUIRED: State which option(s) you chose when you post.

Option 1) Read a book set in a place that you now consider, or once considered, magical. It can be a real-world or fictional place. The book may be fiction or nonfiction.
REQUIRED: Tell us why you consider this place to be magical when you post.

The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen

**Tess Gerritsen is a Goodreads Author**
I read the Kindle edition, but have linked to the MMPB version.

This book is set in Boston, Massachusetts. As a lover of history, this city has a magical quality to me. When I visited Boston as a high school student, it was the first time I had visited anywhere that had buildings older than the mid-1800s (being from the Midwest). My dad and I did the Freedom Trail tour and it was just an awesome thing to walk in the footsteps of such major events in American history. History really came to life for me in Boston and I think that only deepened my love for history...thus making Boston a magical place for me.

Option 2) Read a book in which a group of people takes to the streets to celebrate.
REQUIRED: Name or describe the celebration.

Party Girl by Rachel Hollis

**Rachel Hollis is a Goodreads Author**
I read the Kindle edition, but have linked to the PB version.

The event is an outdoor bar mitzvah for which the main character is part of the event planning team. This is a quote from when she arrives at the location, "The first answer to the whole how-do-you-host-a-party-for-four-hundred-at-home question is that you need a backyard the size of Phoenix."

30.2 Takin' It to the Streets
2 book challenge

Book 1 - Option 1: Read a book set in a place that you now consider, or once considered, magical, real-world or fictional

Five Days in Skye by Carla Laureano

(This takes place in Skye, which, ever since hearing Over the Sea to Skye, I have always felt must be a magical place.)

Gr Author? Yes
Big book? No

Book 2 - Option 2: Read a book in which a group of people take to the streets to celebrate. It can be impromptu or organized, as long as it is about people sharing a public moment of celebration.

Village Diary by Miss Read (this is the second book in the series, I used the first book, Village School, for Task 30.6)

(This book has so many outdoor public celebrations, it's a joy to read. My favorite was the combined School/Church Choir Outing to the seashore, but the Women's Institute Pageant was great fun too, as well as the Michaelmas Fair and the Harvest Festival.)

Gr Author? No
Big Book? No
