Donna M 25.13 - Morgan Faeriesfolly's task: It's not Usagi

This is a TWO BOOK task. Choose TWO DIFFERENT options and read a book for each.

Since Kaguya-hime gave FIVE impossible tasks to FIVE princes, I'll give you all FIVE not-so-impossible options to choose from.

Option 3: Since Kaguya-hime is sent to Earth alone and keeps her sadness to herself for awhile before she tells her parents what has made her so upset, read a book with a single girl/woman on the cover. There should be no other human or human forms present on the cover. Animals are okay. Can be a cartoon version of a woman, but not a doll or a only a silhouette.Required: Post the cover when claiming the task for completion.

Searching for Grace Kelly by Michael Callahan Searching for Grace Kelly by Michael Callahan

Option 4: The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter is a 10th century Japanese folktale and is thought to be the oldest extant Japanese prose narrative. Even though I majored in English and Bio, History was always fascinating to me--history of books/stories? Win/win. For this option, read a NON-FICTION book with the main page genre of 'History'. Any genre listing that includes "History" will work (i.e., History > World War II, Military > Military History, etc.).

The third genre listed for A Fifty-Year Silence: Love, War, and a Ruined House in France by Goodreads Author Miranda Richmond Mouillot is History.

puppitypup | 272 comments 25.9 Roll of the Dice
2 book challenge

Roll two dice ONE time. The numbers you roll will determine the target letters and how often they must appear in your book's title and/or subtitle.

(I rolled a 2 and a 5, both of my books were approved in Elizabeth's Task Help thread post #65)

Book 1: Use the first number you rolled as the number of occurrences of the letter and the second number to select the letter from the list.

(That means I need 2 of the letter "i")

Midnight Pearls: A Retelling of "The Little Mermaid" by Debbie Viguié

(I am using only the title, not the subtitle)

GR Author? Yes
Big Book? No

Book 2: Switch the two numbers you rolled. The second number now determines the number of occurrences and the first number identifies the letter on the list.

(That means I need 5 of the letter "t")

10.6. What is GR up to? GR staff puts out a "what we're reading" lists every other month. Read a book from the March 2015 list or the May 2015 list. If there is a July list, you may also use a book from that list.

Read The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

Book is #55 on May 2015 list.

I'm still claiming Kristin Hannah as a GRA.
