Hey folks,
Just to counter Lel's post, (shakes fist an enemy Marveler Lel), we're almost at 50 power cells and should nab our first portal hero in the next few days. Feel free to discuss and vote on who we should pick.
I think Rick Grimes looks to be an easy one to recruit. Thoughts?

I'd agree with Grimes or Bigby Wolf.

I like Spawn, I'd be alright with Bigby though.

Looks like Bigby is out. I'd vote for Rick Grimes, in part because I have no idea at all what books to read for Spawn (and, well, I like Rick a lot better).

I should be done with at least of this month's books soon- I vote Grimes as well

Ok, since we're closing in on this, we need to make a choice. The majority of people are going with Rick Grimes. Does anyone seriously object?

Ok, I asked for Grimes when I posted my Energy Cell. I guess we should discuss whatever one we want next, bearing in mind that, at this rate, Marvel side will get there ahead of us again so will likely get to pick ahead of time.

It's all up the air for me whomever we choose next. Maybe Spawn since Roger mentioned him earlier?

Any of the Longmire books, which are great reads anyway.

I like spawn too, though it looks like Marvel is looking for that too. If not spawn I think I'd be able to pull off Morpheus.

Yeah, Morpheus looks tough. I have books picked out for Jackie Estacado, but I'm open to suggestions.
For Morpheus, any thoughts on the prophetic dream and/or 7 POVs? That sounds really difficult.

Well, if someone can come up with some decent suggestions for the 7 cover/7 POV thing, I'm fine with it. I just don't have any idea and I'm kinda too busy to search out covers and count just now.

Honestly, I don't remember anymore. I researched it back when the portal heroes popped up. I'll take a look again later. I have it from the library at the moment.

I plan on finishing The Lions of AlRassan this week. Because it is so close to the end of the year, is it better to tag it as an energy cell or a character challenge? Would their be value in acquiring another portal hero?

With the scores the way they are I don't think it matters what you do one way or the other...

Is there a point in trying to name the next portal book? We're getting close, but we're damn near at the end of the year. Personally, I don't really have anything for either of the choices remaining.

I don't think it really matters at this point, I doubt we will get there and if we do that doesn't leave a lot of time to get it read.
