What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

looking for a book (possibly a novella or play style) that i read as a child approx. 30 years ago maybe around early 80s. my father bought it from a used book store so the book was already old.

The main story takes place in a castle and i can't remember much else other than maybe a tragic ending. The last part of the book takes place in present day with a newly-wed couple on their honeymoon and they visit/tour the castle and the couple may be looking at the portraits and the girl says she's been there before or feels deja vu about another life time there....

i'm hoping someone else can remember this book. i've been going crazy asking and looking for this book...please help! thank you!!!

i want to say that i remember the cover being dark or black but can't remember much else.

funny you mentioned Shadow Castle.....i still have my old copy from scholastic orders in school way back in the day and it was one of my favs. but sad to say that is not the book i'm looking for. thanks - if u think of anything else - let me know!
