The Sword and Laser discussion

Ok, this isn't strictly a scifi book (or at least hard scifi). However, it can be classified that way (and it seems most people on goodreads who classified it agree).

Blindness is simply amazing, to a point that I might have to lower the rating on all my 5 star books, because I have a new standard now.

So, where do we post suggestion for the book club again ? :)

Blindness is a really amazing book. I was amazed at how much I cared about characters who had no names.

It is sad it is not available as an ebook in its original language (Portuguese).

Portuguese is my native tongue, and even then I have to read a translation. :(

'Blindness' is one of my favorite novels of all time, and probably the most perfectly written book I've ever read: whenever I read another novel I can't help it but compare its accomplishments to the reaction I had to 'Blindness'. I can't recommend it enough!

While I can see the case being made for it being a sci-fi novel, I can definitely see the opposite argument being valid, too. If it'd qualify for S&L, I'll throw all my support behind this pick.
