F.D. Crandall (fdcrandall) | 19 comments Would it be appropriate to anounce the release of my new book on this site?

Larry | 5 comments Sure, why not? At least in my opinion ....

F.D. Crandall (fdcrandall) | 19 comments Thanks. This is my first book and I'm kind of overwhelmed by the promotional aspects. If I offend anyone, please just let me know.

It's titled “The Measure of a Man” and it’s out now in soft release from Authorhouse.

If anyone is interested, just go to my website: http://www.fdcrandallwriter.com

Let me know how you all like the book.

Betty (nightreader) | 68 comments I read the synopsis on your website, it sounds great! Another must-read for me to add to my ever-growing list. Congratulations!

F.D. Crandall (fdcrandall) | 19 comments Wow... thank you very much. I haven't gotten a lot of feedback yet, so anything positive is great.

message 6: by Chester (new)

Chester | 17 comments Today is the release date for THE SUREST POISON, first book in my new Sid Chance mystery series. Jon Jordan, editor of Crimespree Magazine, calls it "a top rate mysery by a gem of a writer." See his review at http://bit.ly/Dyau.

F.D. Crandall (fdcrandall) | 19 comments Congrats Chester.

message 8: by Chester (new)

Chester | 17 comments Thanks, F.D. Your book really sounds interesting, but I don't believe I'd give away the whole plot on the website. Just give 'em enough to pique their interest and want to know more.

F.D. Crandall (fdcrandall) | 19 comments I beleive you're right.

F.D. Crandall (fdcrandall) | 19 comments Not at all. We authors love the attention. I retired from law enforcement and was bored. I had written several technical documents and manuals for the State and thought that maybe I could apply those writing skills to fiction. The first night I wrote 22 pages. It was like heroin for me... I couldn't stop.

I decided to write about covert ops because I had always been interested in them. Never got to be a clandestine service officer, but loved it just the same.

Bluedaizy | 97 comments hmmm... I used to write technical documents for an insurancy company. I think I went in the opposite direction. I hate writing more than two or three sentences at a time. :)

message 15: by F.D. (new)

F.D. Crandall (fdcrandall) | 19 comments Yeah... Iwas wondering if that was the way I would be going too, but I was hooked and it hasn't stopped yet.

message 16: by Bluedaizy (new)

Bluedaizy | 97 comments Good for you! I'm truly jealous. I think insurance is sooo boring it just knocked the stuffing out of me.

F.D. Crandall (fdcrandall) | 19 comments Clear your mind and "see" a story in your mind's eye. As the story progresses in your mind, write it down.
