I was obsessed with delirium but the ending did disappoint. I felt the same with mockingjay. I hate ending such powerful books with blah

message 17: by SashaSay (new)

SashaSay | 9 comments I loved:

HP series by JK Rowling (including the other books she threw in that belonged in the HP world like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them <3~)
Fallen series by Lauren Kate (I love Daniel and Cam so much and the ending to it all was just <3~)
TMI and TID by Cassandra Clare! This is what I'm currently obsessing about. Ugh and there's still plans for MORE! TDA, TLH and the Bane Chronicles! The Shadowhunter Chronicles are a nice light read for me!
The Maze Runner series by James Dashner which I have just finished a few hours ago. I am fan girling over Minho... Mhm.
The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis
LOTR by JRR Tolkien
Lorien Legacies by Pittacus Lore - at least up to the third book...
Artemis Fowl series Eoin Colfer

... The list may go on and on...

message 20: by Pauline (new)

Pauline Never read a good trilogy. Anyone recommend one?

message 21: by Katy (new)

Katy | 357 comments The Hunger Games

message 22: by Pauline (new)

Pauline Love the first book hated the others especially the third which was terrible and spoiled the whole thing. Sorry

message 23: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (tessa_ioana) | 1861 comments Series? They usually disappoint me. So far only one of the series I read till the end left me feeling fulfilled. Even The Hunger Games had a crappy ending [I did like the first 2 books].
The amazing series: If I Stay [yes the second and last novel was awesome]
And there was also "The Forest of Hands and Teeth" that got better with each new book, but not a favorite of mine.
So far I'm having high expectations for the following series:
Daughter of Smoke & Bone
Penryn & the End of Days - particularly impressed so far
The Grisha
The Lynburn Legacy
Divergent - particularly impressed so far
Legend
The 5th Wave
Benny Imura
Ashes Trilogy
The Artists Trilogy
Vampire Empire
Lunar Chronicles - particularly impressed so far

message 31: by Tayla (new)

Tayla Potayta (taylapotayta) | 3057 comments It just never really caught my interest. Maybe I'll read the second and judge it from there

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments I forgot to mention

Divergent
Beautiful Creatures
Derluim
Legend
Hunger Games
Heros of Olympians
Kane Chronicles

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

The Divergent Trilogy is the best series I have ever read. So well written.

message 38: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (tessa_ioana) | 1861 comments I'm here with an update and my remaining decision that most series suck.

Series I still recomend: "If I Stay" and "The Forest of Hands and Teeth" that got better with each new book, but not a favorite of mine.
So far I'm still having high expectations for the following series:
Daughter of Smoke & Bone
The Grisha
The Lynburn Legacy
The 5th Wave
Ashes Trilogy
Vampire Empire
Lunar Chronicles - particularly impressed so far (Cress was a total win for me)

I have been really disappointed by the last book from Divergent and Legend. The Artists Trilogy had a so-so ending.
Benny Imura got so boring without the other books in the series that I couldn't even finish the 3th one.
The second book in Penryn & the End of Days was also disappointing, not sure I maintain much hope for this series either.

message 39: by Ravin (new)

Ravin | 14 comments I cant decide which series to read first,
Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater Linger (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater Forever (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater
or Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie Crossed (Matched, #2) by Ally Condie Reached (Matched, #3) by Ally Condie

Reccomendations?

message 40: by BADASSBOOKWORM (new)

BADASSBOOKWORM (bookwormbadass) Ravin read divergent. A million times better and has better dystopia
