Alyssia - I don't know if you went through all the old posts in the One Grave at a Time thread, but Leigh and I are going to be reading

next month if you want to read them with us. If not, we could do another buddy read in addition to them :)

These are in addition to Cat and Bones, Vlad and Parasol Protectorate, or after?

I just hit 'compare books' and grabbed some off the first page. My TBR list is so enormous that it didn't take long to find a ton. :)

Thoughts:
Tyler is super fun. I will enjoy having him around. I really hope Vlad and Tyler interact. It would please me. Part of me is concerned that he will end up being the medium that our baddie tries to work through, but Frost isn't usually so devious, so I don't expect it really.
I like that the trials in this one (so far) are more mundane. I like the build, and that we don't start with an ohshitohshitohshit. I find the whole Don situation amusing.

I am not sure that I agree with Cat that Tate is the best option to be leading in Don's place. I don't trust this new fellow either, but on the other hand, since when is Tate known for his rational reactions to things? And I can see where a govt. organization would feel strangely about a mostly supernatural group of supernatural police...
What if they decided Bones was a problem, for instance? We know it won't happen, but say he goes rogue and starts slaughtering people ... he is the Master of every vamp there (I assume he officially adopted Justina to his line...?), so who is going to be sent against him?

Don being a ghost is funny. He went to great lengths to ensure that he wouldn't become vampire or ghoul. I guess he didn't think about becoming a ghost.

Tyler is funny. I love how he comes into their home and takes over.

The new villain is creepy.

Madigan is a jerk. I'm guessing that he is a medium or supe or half supe of some sort, but who knows for sure.
Tyler is still adorable.
The parade of new characters, in general, does nothing for me.
The chapters are rolling by quickly, but I wouldn't mind some action at this point. Good build ... now let me have it :D

Madigan is a jerk. What is he hiding? How about Justina showing some love for Cat. This one is moving slower.

Shahbaz, I read the first one and enjoyed it. I plan on reading the rest of the series.

I want Denise's metabolism minus the demon blood. Shapeshifting would be cool.

So I'm sitting this one out for now. I will catch up with you guys this weekend and read through all your posts. I'm still on chapter 1 :)

Thanks :) I thought I'd be able to catch up today but I've been too busy, and tomorrow and Friday I volunteered to work extra because there will be a couple of people off (yay for big paychecks!)...so I probably won't even have time to read until Friday night. Anyway enjoy and I'll post later :)

Up to chapter 19, I am hating this Kramer fellah

I'm wondering why they haven't gon to see Marie yet, I mean yea she is scary as hell, but she is pretty much the expert on ghosts, if anyone knows how to off a ghost it would be her, and since the last book left with them being in a sort of alliance or understanding, they could go for a consult ya know.

Marie always has her own agenda. She may help but at what cost.

Kramer is one sick guy. I am ready for him to get some of his own treatment.

Don is getting on my nerves. He is keeping secrets that could help Cat and Bones. It could of prevented the mess at the cave.

Yea, Don is really pissin me off too, even in death the stubborn "sod" still being a prick.

I enjoyed this book a bit, things didn't go the way I wanted them to, and the ending was a bit weak with how stuff was resolved, but (view spoiler)[ Atleast we got to see Bones and Cat give new meaning to the mile high club (hide spoiler)]

I was a bit disappointed to not see any Vlad so far and (view spoiler)[ they didn't go see Marie, I really wanted her to make an appearance she's creepy and this was a creepy one lol. (hide spoiler)]

3.5/5 stars for me on this one. The medium Tyler, that guy was a trip.

I guess instead of Vlad we got Tyler and his poor dog, Dexter. We will get all Vlad in the next book. YAY!

If nothing else just to see the kind of woman Frost creates who can deal with him and possibly tame him.

I don't know of the kind of woman who can tame Ian, maybe find one who can tolerate him, after all there is someone for everyone, or so they say, but someone to match Ian, now that will be a pair.

I would definitely read a book about Ian, I like him, he is blunt and hold nothing back, I can see why Bones and Spade put up with him, I have friends similar to him, but not as blunt.

@Alyssia Sorry I didn't get around to entering your contest, I had meant to enter, but it completely slipped my mind, I dont usually participate in them, but I wanted to enter yours, so sorry.

So Next week is Onced Burned correct? I will be reading that on top of a few other books.

@Leigh I have read the first two and I'm definately enjoying Iron Druid Chronicles, Atticus reminds me of Harry Dresden, I love how he and his dog Oberon interact, quite a lot of funny moments, and its a good pace of action and it dwells around some of the powerful fae like the Morrigan and such. Starting up the 3rd now, its about Asguard and Thor and such, can't wait :)

Shahbaz, I agree that Atticus reminds me of Harry Dresden. I love Oberon. I listened to the first one and the narrator did such a good job with the characters. I need to finish both the Dresden Files and Iron Druid Chronicles.

Did anyone think that Sarah would turn out to be the accomplice?

So happy Sarah went splat after everything she did. I just wished Kramer could have gotten the same treatment.

I will say I didn't love this one.

Sorry for disappearing guys, that drag show took it out of me. I slept a solid sixteen hours yesterday. :D

It irritates me that we still don't know what Madigan is up to. I read the 6.5 book and he's mentioned only in the context of Don still being irritated with Cat.
Although, as a sidenote: 6.5 was AWESOME.

Agreed. I wanted them to go and talk to Marie, but I didn't really expect it. Especially because it would give everyone a time frame for how long her powers last.

I didn't either. It was slow, and I felt like everyone was tossing around the stupid stick.

Also, Tyler just sort of faded, which was sad. He was so awesome to begin with and then became background. I REALLY wanted him and Ian to get it on.
I do NOT want Justina and Ian to get it on. (Cause ewww.)

I am concerned about all of the time those three were spending together.
