I am over halfway through The Painted Bird.

That book is intense! Even though I am an admirer of the voice, style, use of metaphor in this novel I am mentally gasping at some of the brutality that is uncovered in this story. Does someone die in every chapter?!

Good luck on your reading challenge. I have read 37 almost 38 of my 208. I will make it. Only problem is I spend a lot of reading time on goodreads. lol

well I have so much fun wandering around... and seeing everyone... Makes me wish we still had a bookstore of mortar and brick with coffee and tea and we could all just hang out...
