John and Denise will be reading Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb

Yay, can't wait to get started! What did you think of the first one? I liked it, even though there wasn't a lot of action I thought character development was really good.

I got it from the library today, so I'm good to go! :)

It's been ages since I read the first one, but I do remember enjoying it very much. It started a bit slow, but I agree regarding the character development and I think the second one might have a bit more action to go with that. Looking forward to it!

It's pretty good so far, it's a lot like the first book where everything moves really slow. But I'm still enjoying it a lot still.

Robin Hobb is a good writer, even though not that much as happened I'm still really liking it. All the characters are fleshed out really well. If things do get crazy in the 3rd book, I think having all this character development will make it amazing. Btw I love the Fool, he's so adorable lol.

I haven't gotten very far yet, I'm only on page 187, but I'm getting there. These books may not have that much action, but they do draw you in very quickly and effectively. :) And the Fool is awesome. :D

Just saw that you're done - and apparently you really enjoyed it! :) I've finally had some time to catch up on this one and am on page 579 - will probably finish it tomorrow.

Yeah, I loved it! The ending was really good! I can't wait to start book 3.

I'm reading the witching hour right now which is awesome because I was just in New Orleans for the week and drove by Anne Rice's house/the main house in the beginning of the book. :)
