Has anyone written a postcolonial HoD and shown us how the "brutes" saw Kurtz, Marlow, &c? I want fiction and Apocalypse Now (which I love) does not count.

It's not simply a postcolonial HoD, but Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart, especially when read alongside his essay "An Image of Africa" (http://kirbyk.net/hod/image.of.africa...), provides a great response to Conrad.
