A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments I am sorry I wasn't totally sure where to post this. I am after both readers and authors to interview for my blog. Preferably those who read or write (or review) in the following genres - fantasy, sci fi, romance and erotica although I am open to other genres if there is room. I am looking to have one author and one reader a week at the moment. Anyone interested please send me a PM saying whether you want to be featured as a reader, writer or reviewer.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I'm wondering if we should just have one thread for this?

I think this is the third thread asking for volunteers for various blogs?

I dunno. What do you lot think? One thread where bloggers and volunteers can meet up or separate threads for each blogger? I don't mind which. Just whatever would be easiest and get the most attention.

Jim | 21809 comments Really it is probably best up towards the top of the page

message 4: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments I agree. Maybe a blog folder?

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I'll have a chat with Simon.

Then ignore him and do what I like. :D

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments A blog folder I think, but what has it got to do with me ;-)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh yeah. Must shift all the other blog volunteers wanted threads in here...

Or I could leave it and let Simon sort them.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments You know that is a sign of an unquiet mind... that and too many exclamation marks!!!!

Ben Hatch (BenHatch) | 9 comments Hi Alexandra, I write books and have a new one out in May, Road to Rouen, a travel book. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Road-Rouen-Be...

If you wanted we could talk.

Best Ben
You can get me on twitter @BenHatch easily. Let me know I am standing by with chat.

message 13: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments I don't have twitter, sorry. I am not looking at travel books at the moment, to be honest but I might consider it in the future. Drop me an email at [email protected]

message 14: by Adam (new)

Adam (adammannan) | 133 comments One thread for this stuff, would be good. It would reduce the time people and moderators had to spend visiting each and every. Plus, for those regularly interested in these opportunities, as a stable page, it can be saved to favourites.

message 15: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments I agree:)

message 16: by Ben (new)

Ben Hatch (BenHatch) | 9 comments No worries, Alexandra. My first real foray into Goodreads. Another time maybe. Good luck with it all

message 17: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Thanks. I can send the questions out and do a guest one later on perhaps. Drop me a PM with your email.

message 18: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments With someone like Ben, it would be interesting to know what a travel writer reads and what and how do you take books when you're travelling.
I suppose now with Kindle you can take everything but in the good old bad old days you had to be very selective and the books you packed could say a lot about you ;-)

R.M.F. Brown | 2124 comments I'm happy to be interviewed if my spacious dressing room contains water served at exactly 20 degrees Celsius and a bowl filled with BLUE m and m's. :)

message 20: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Sorry only red M and Ms. I can probably find space for everyone eventually but I didn't think this many people would be interested.

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Get the M and M and I'll give RMF all the blue ones. Don't like those.

Full of artificial colours!

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Thanks. The author one will go up mid week and the another reader one after that.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Reader interview numero deux http://libraryoferana.wordpress.com/2...

message 28: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments It's nice to read about the readers for a change

message 29: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Yes, that is what I thought. A lot of people do author interviews but without readers then authors would be writing for themselves. When I read a book I know why I enjoy it (or don't)but what about others. A lot of people seem to have strong opinions on reviews but do readers actually take notice? Why do people read, what do they like and dislike?

message 30: by Katie (new)

Katie Stewart (katiewstewart) | 817 comments Alaxandra, I PMd you the other day. Did you get it, or did I PM the wrong Alexandra?

message 31: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Hmm let me check again. I might have missed it.

message 32: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Katie, I apologise. I have found it now and about to reply.

Sara Boyd (saraboydauthor) | 1211 comments I'll show it to my daughter as well, she was curious to know what other authors said!

message 37: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Author interview number 3 :) http://libraryoferana.wordpress.com/2...

Someone likes my idea of reader interviews so much she is going to do some her own.

message 38: by Sara (new)

Sara Boyd (saraboydauthor) | 1211 comments I like the idea of reader interviews as well... But I'm in the middle of a Blog Crisis right now :-(

My daughter likes the reader interviews...

Hahaha, yes! Copyright it!

message 42: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments At least she asked if I minded:) I don't see why not to be honest, I just hinted she directed them to my blog:)

message 43: by Sara (new)

Sara Boyd (saraboydauthor) | 1211 comments Do you have good traffic with those interviews?

message 44: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments Not bad. Better than the author ones, lol. The little chart says lots of international vistors:)

message 45: by Sara (new)

Sara Boyd (saraboydauthor) | 1211 comments Good! Yes, I don't post author stuff anymore. Just if I'm about to publish something, or I need help with the book cover or stuff like that.

message 46: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments The author interviews are fun to do and it is a good way of finding a potential new read but the reader interviews get more traffic. I don't post much about my books. The links are there and there is a page but as I am in the stage of making book 2 ready there isn't much to say:)

I am getting some author interviews of my own at some point and will post those there. I might try for some reviewer interviews as well:)

message 47: by Sara (last edited May 11, 2013 12:00PM) (new)

Sara Boyd (saraboydauthor) | 1211 comments Reviewers interviews will be interesting. You can start with Ignite...
