Life of the Party is by Christine Anderson? I will definitely check it out!
I have spent my fair share of time searching for something that could compare and I have come to some close calls:
You Against Me, Nobody But Us.
In some other topic for this book I also mentioned a currently published book by danish author that has striking similarities to TS (father and six year son on the run, a mistake in the past, hard living conditions, a fairytale in the backround with paralels to the real world). It has not been translated to English yet and it might never be. Too bad, it sounds really great:)
... I have been contemplating whether to add this or not. And I decided I would. This book is for 18 over only. It is not a perfect book but it is definitely emotional read. If you feel like you have forgiven Abel, you might like this book. It is very different from TS. TS is more than a romance book.Captive in the Dark is more of a romance book, playing with more emotions (and more trivially). The whole idea is actually trivilized, simplified and presented in a whole different shade than the reality really is. If you keep that in mind (and don't forget that after you've read the book) it is a great hot and cold emotional read.

I am looking for shattering books too, unluckily, with very little sucess
You against me is quite good, gripping, full of drama, but its focus is on the struggles of the two families more than the romance, though the romance is sweet too.
But it really cannot be compared with Forbidden or the storyteller.
You may want to try Flawed by Kate Arelynn, the story arc looks quite similiar to Forbidden, messed up familiy, co-dependent brother and sister, twisted love, lots of traumas.
Stolen by Lucy Christopher is also on my recommendation list, girl kidnapped by a man who had been in love with her for years.
But I Love Him, a girl who is stuck in an abusive relationship, told in rewind form.

Not -as- emotional, but still very bittersweet and thought-provoking, as well as romantic.
Reason to Breathe- Donovan
Another favourite of mine, although a lot of people find issue with the characterization. A story of abuse and romance.
If I Stay- Forman
A little sad and definitely not as "deep" as The Storyteller, but worth reading
Lots of people find 13 Reasons Why to be "meaningful", though it doesn't seemed to be approached in such a lyrical and mature way as it is handled in the Storyteller. Just thought I'd toss it out there at least, though.
If you're looking for another book that will really measure up, I can't say I've ever found one and struggle to believe one even exists, but these are some that evoke similar emotions, just on a much smaller scale.

I LOVED Stolen. I'll give Flawed a chance. Thanks! ;)

I've read them all, but After The Moment. I'll check bn.com for it. Thank you! :)

Speaking of Thirteen Reasons why, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson was quite good too.
Some other books that come to my mind that are worth reading: Try Not to Breathe, Take Me There, The Girl She Used to Be, My Life Next Door.
And Leaving Paradiseis a very sweet romance.
This one is probably sad and very dark but very Storytellish Tenderness. I haven't read it yet I guess I am dreading it:)
I haven't read Stolen yet but I did read Trafficked: The Terrifying True Story of a British Girl Forced into the Sex Trade and it is certainly a must read to get a grip on reality. Up until a certain point,30 percent more or less it could easily be mistaken for chicklit, or romance but then things get worse than worst imaginable.

I recommend Nineteen Minutes from Jodi Picoult.

Yes. Really good book. If u enjoy that then you should try of beast and beauty.

hmm yes, i've read that one before storyteller! but storyteller's writing style was still more captivating although i enjoyed cruel beauty a lot more than other books haha
