Jim | 21809 comments << Holds hand up>>

please miss, is that a tribe of Jims or the tribe belonging to Jim?

<< sits expectantly with eager expression>>

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments The tribe of Jims. If it belonged to Jim there would be an apostrophe in there somewhere. Ignite will tell you.

Probably.

especially the collie story.
you're just terrific :-)

Jim | 21809 comments It's late at night, and I'm too Urlan to cope with the possessive apostrophe after about 9pm

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I didn't know there was an apostrophe watershed!

Jim | 21809 comments Absolutely
My ability to punctuate closes down some time before my ability to think coherently

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments I just posted up a discussion about the woeful lack of options for blind readers and also an interview with a blind author.
That seems to be getting quite a few hits:O)

It would get more hits if you posted a link here :-)
I have no shame, I do it all the time, especially if it is even the slightest bit relevant :-)

Jim | 21809 comments Well I've stuck it up on facebook, it's a potentially useful post and could help people out there. ;-)

I know, wastes valuable time you could spend on Goodreads :-)

message 117: by Chris (new)

Chris Ward (chriswardfictionwriter) | 40 comments I posted a bunch of pictures of my Createspace book like a year ago and every month it's easily my most viewed blog. The annoying thing is I've re-done the book a whole bunch of times so it looks nothing like that book anymore. It's nice to get blog hits, though, even though it's pretty easy to tell that no one who views my blog actually goes on to buy any of my books. Still, rubs the ego a bit!

message 118: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments Yes, the link between blog hits and sales is extremely tenuous.
In fact I suspect it barely exists at all but hey, we all need our ego's gently massaged at times :-)

message 119: by Chris (new)

Chris Ward (chriswardfictionwriter) | 40 comments It's all exposure, planting seeds in people's minds and all that, but if you average it and say that out of 1000 views one person might buy your book, you have to get a serious number of hits to catch any sales. If you get a lot of hits it makes sense to get Adsense (ho hum), so a lot of successful bloggers tell me.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 1608 comments I had someone look at the book and the a sale turned up - now of course there is no way of linking the two.
