What posts attract attention

No, really! I don't!

When I don't do film reviews I'll use Kate's 'No, really! I don't!'s brilliant idea and tag my posts as 'naked Indian men'

I am getting a few comments about shared links and reader interviews.

Anyway I ranted about peoples tastes on my blog this morning so feel better :-)

I suspect that reading about writing is something writers assume readers like to do, but we assume wrong.

I know the feeling!

It would be interesting to have a thread where authors list their top three favourite books (not their own of course)

Rumour has it you're a moderator, perhaps you should start one :-)
I'll join in

I regards to most popular posts. Mine was actually one where I posted some tid bits from my next book and a poem giving hints about the series. (It's going at the start of book 2). I have no idea where my blog is most linked from as I don't understand the statistics!

Is that something Wordpress? If so they're probably biased...
What's wrong with blogger?

The stats are rubbish. Haven't explored fully but I think wordpress is a bit more flexible?

I'll try not to. Promise! ;-)

I'd need a year, myself!"
Yes, more like it!

Wordpress is pretty easy to use. There are supposed to be plug-ins and stuff to help customise things but I haven't quite worked out how to use those yet.

And a tip for bloggers, if you're not sharing your posts on StumbledUpon, then you should. It's boosted my hits quite a bit.
My blog posts that get the most attention seem to be opinion and news pieces targeted at my core readership (climbers and hillwalkers). Basically anything relevant and content-heavy seems to hit the mark, for example:

Hahaha! I hate Spam.

Looking at my various blog posts, the one I did on Horse-burgers is still just the most popular, but 'Marks and Spencer knicker adverts' is creeping slowly into second place and in a couple of weeks will almost inevitably be the most popular.
Most weeks it gets a couple more hits because people use it as a Google search term
It hasn't been translated into book sales through
Just wondered if anyone else has seen certain posts getting far more hits that you'd have thought
