I think Frost said that this is the same model who did the last book, one grave at a time, but for some reason, she looks much younger and different, like it's a third different model. She looked more mature in the previous book. I guess my complaint, her looking too young. I"m not super crazy about the cover or stepback, but I still somewhat like it.

I think so Mariya! She look less fierce. And did I see Bones has.. moustache? *gasp*

Same here. Seems way too young. She suppose to be 22 when the series started I think, but it's just it's a much too different look compared to the other books where she looks fierce and bad ass and a little bit older and then suddenly she has this young innocent look. I'm not crazy about it.

Cat stopped aging at the end of puberty(One Foot in the Grave) and she's always looked innocent.... not a big fan of the cover. but I hate when the cover don't fit the book!

and the model looks like Cat for me! the model from the first books looked also young (around 20)and for me that is just Cat!! I like both models as Cat.

This cover remind me to Kate Daniels's new cover, which also have a younger model compare to the previous ones.

Not thrilled enough because the moustache. LOL!

im not sure i like it...its the yellow. dont like the stepback either, the last couple covers were better imho but i like the model. yay for the book!

I do think it's the same model, but pose makes her look younger. I'm not crazy about Bones either.

Ahahahahahaha. There's just something about Ian that I find really hilarious.

I'm so sad, but I agree with her decision :(

It's sad to say goodbye to Cat and Bones after all this time, but I agree with her decision and respect her choice.

I can understand her choice...but I'm still so sad. I share her regret about introducing such an important plot point in a novella. I read the Bite Before Christmas, and I really wish (view spoiler)[ Frost had devoted a book to exploring the story of Bones' brother. I think it would have been a lot more interesting than, say, the story of the evil ghost> (hide spoiler)]

Personally, I'm really hoping for some short stories in the future. I think we all know there's no way Cat and Bones with have a perfectly quiet life. There are bound to be some adventures worth writing about!

And, while I'm glad that this isn't necessarily the end of the Night Huntress universe, I've always preferred Cat's narrative voice over any other character. I like Leila, but for some reason she doesn't have quite the same spark.

Well, It has to end sometime. I am glad that she will not try and stretch out their storyline. Filler books leave a bad taste and can taint a series. I know it was hard for her, but she knows what is best for her character development. Now, looking forward to Ian's book (maybe sometime soon?)

I'm looking forward to Ian's story too. I really hope he end's up with Justina! She would really give him a run for his money.

I only discovered this series last year but loved it straight away! I was glued to my nook constantly whilst I read every novel and novella and have been checking the release date for this book constantly for the past few months .. going to miss Cat & Bones :(
and I totally agree with you Claire, Im loving the night prince books but Leila just doesn't have the same effect Cat does.

I am sad to see this story come to an end. I do hope she writes a book about Ian. He's one of my favorite characters.

Sometimes I like Ian, and other times I'm pretty sure he's just an ass. It would be interesting to get a book about him, and see if he has some redeeming qualities after all. (I still haven't forgotten him trying to blackmail Cat into sleeping with him!)

Happy New Year! This month is the month the final book in the Night Huntress series comes out. Looking forward to reading it. Of course, I will have to have a box of Kleenex by me. :-(

Well I've recently finished Up From the Grave and liked it but I'm sad that it brings an end to this series. There are too many characters still left hanging. What's to happen with Annette, Justina, Ian, Dave, Cooper and Juan. I figured Ian and Justina might be a smack down WWF type couple in the end, being he'd show an interest in a few scenes from other books.
Annette has been around forever and she has no one. Also, with Bones, Cat, Justina , Tate and Katie sailing off into the sunset why not give the other supporting characters their own happy endings? Unless they'll show up later in the Night Huntress World like Mencheres did,hmmmm...

Now that might be promising!!

I finally got around to reading Up From the Grave.

I put it off for so long because I didn't really want it to end. I will admit that I'm not terribly fond of the end and I really missed Vlad...

I would LOVE an Annette book and I seriously CANNOT wait for Ian's book (with Veritas, right?).
