Stranded on an island

On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves (woman plus teenager)
Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell
Oh my, Kagama, do I ever remember that one! Both the movie and the book, which I kept furtively hidden between the covers of my Trapper Keeper. Hehehe.

"What are you reading?"
"Homework!"
Yeah I had books like that too.lol
I watched the movie recently-ish and despite being an adult had to pause every once in a while and blush. I mean I have seen worse (sex-wise)...only this was a bit awkward and embarrassing to watch.

Glad we could help!
Here's a few more for you to look into:
The Island Keeper
Wild Man Island
Heart of a Samurai
Kensuke's Kingdom
Dr. Franklin's Island

I saw the movie again not too long ago, and for me the most awkward thing was how YOUNG the actors seemed, when they had seemed sooooo grown-up to me the first time I saw it. eep.

@Andria thanks loads! You must be a librarian, and if you're not, you should be one!

Static is the first in a series
Far North is a bit off of the deserted island theme, but they're stranded in the far north and I enjoyed it a fair bit.

I could come up with more (and better) if you don't mind adults having a little background influence.

err. It has to be teens?
Here's a few movie titles which (nearly) match and may have source novels:
The Savage is Loose
The Dove
Walkabout (not an island, but a desert)

The book Kitten is talking about: Zia.

Stranded on an island.
I enjoy reading survival children's/YA fiction.
Others you may like (some may have already been mentioned, and I'm including both teens and those younger, and a few animals):
The sequel to The Cay. Timothy of the Cay
by Theodore Taylor.
Abel's Island by William Steig (it's a mouse, but still a good survival story).
Gordon Korman's Island series, all three are excellent: 1. Shipwreck. 2. Survival. 3. Escape.
Baby Island by Carol Ryrie Brink.
The Island by Gary Paulsen.
Tree Castle Island by Jean Craighead George.
The Adventurous Four by Enid Blyton.
Sweet Friday Island by Theodore Taylor.
The Castaway by Arthur J. Roth.
Two on an Island by Bianca Bradbury (it counts enough to me, two children and their dog get stranded on an island, good story).
Danny Dunn on a Desert Island by Jay Williams.
Magpie Island by Colin Thiele (despite that this is about a white-backed magpie bird, it is also a good survival story that is often overlooked).
Shipwrecked on Mystery Island by Roy Wandelmaier (similar to the choose your own adventure type story).
Nightmare Island by Ron Roy.
Shipwreck Bay by Marian Rumsey.
Stranded by Matt Christopher.

I want to know the titles of all the books wherein teens get stranded on an island. Such books are fun to read. I have read Treasure Island, "Shipwrecked!" and "Stranded" by Enid Blyton long ago, so please don't include them! Thanks in advance! :D
