One Million Pages Per Lifetime discussion

Time for the second seasonal readathon! Closer to time for the RAT, I will post the optional challenges in the topic below.

Duration: May 19th - 25th, 2013 (midnight to midnight)

Remember goals are whatever you make them!

Goals, updates/discussions, summaries below.

Spring Challenges - OPTIONAL (goal is to complete two or three of these)

1. Passover - Read a book where a character (not necessarily the main) is Jewish.

2. Take Your Daughter to Work Day - Read a book where the main character has a daughter.

3. Star Wars Day - Read a book where the main characters are traveling throughout space, or where the main setting of the book is in space.

4. Cinco de Mayo - Read a book whose cover has red, white, AND green on the cover. (As long as it's at least a speck of the colour, it will count.)

5. Victoria Day - Read a book that has something to do with a queen, princess, or another kind of ruler.

ETA - Just noticed: the first day of this RAT is the day of my dance recital. So really I'll only have 6 days to do a readathon haha.

Oh no! I just read 2 books for #Boutofbooks readathon that would fill 2 of those requirements! Oh well.

I want to try to get through 3 books. I'm having guests, but I think I can find some time to read. If they apply, I'll see if I can do any of the challenges.

Count me in! I am going to try to finish 5 books if possible! I will try to start this tomorrow (Friday) instead because I have some extra time before I go to work. So this will last from May 17-27

Now that I understand the Read-A-Thon and Spring Challenge are running at the same time, will try to complete 2-3 books.

I'm aiming for 4 books this time. I finished one today. Demon Song. Hopefully I can do more tomorrow.

Finished: . I found it pretty interesting. I will definitely look for the next book. I think this qualifies as Star Wars because Jason travels between two planets... If not, oh well.

Extremely boring! And makes no sense! But I only have about 30pages left. It is my 2nd Stephen king book and I definitely liked 11-22-63 much better.

Interesting. I've still never read any of his work. I need to, though. Although I'll probably stray from The Gunslinger now that you've warned me haha.

Finished yesterday, about to sit and finish now. Just got done listening to almost 2 more hours of , very entertaining so far!

All right before the end of my days off which will be late Tuesday night I am going to finish 3 more books! That is my goal!

I only have about 10 more pages in The Gunslinger. I think I can finish Prince Caspian in the next couple of days. I started Hounded at work today. I think I finish it tomorrow. I just hope it won't be as long of a day as today was.

FInished my audiobook today! It was super cute, and narrated by Lauren Graham herself, which just makes it better! =)

If I can finish before this weekend is up, I'll be doing great! =)

I am halfway through both and Star of the Morning (for some reason it isn't showing up when I click add book). I am determined to finish one of them before the night is through.

I really want to read Someday, Someday, Maybe. I absolutely loved Lauren Graham in Gilmore Girls. It is absolutely one of my all time favorite shows. I had never even heard of this book before.... (off to add it to my TBR).

Yay!!! I finally finished the godforsaken book (The Gunslinger). So happy that I finally finished that book.

I am currently listening to the end of Hounded while I update my stuff online. I started it this morning and absolutely love it. It is really good.

Before I go to bed, I will be starting Prince Caspian and probably try to finish it tomorrow. I probably will not finish it tonight as I have been up since 2:15a this morning and it is already almost 10:00p.

Yay! I finished Hounded! Now I am going to do one more update and then go to bed... It is nearly 11:00p.

I finished and therefore have accomplished my goal! And this book is Cinco de Mayo. I finished three theme challenges too! This has been a good RAT...
