We hop on the old Google Hangout to chat with Adam Christopher about alternate universes, superheroes, and atomic robot armies. His new book The Age Atomic is out right now! Listen to this then go read that!

Katina French (thatdarnkat) | 48 comments I thought it was interesting that between super powers and an army of robots, Adam would pick super speed.

That's the one super power that I think would be incredibly annoying for the person who had it. I have a hard time waiting for everyone else to keep up with me after drinking a latte. I can't imagine how impatient I'd be with other people if I could move at the speed of sound.

Daniel Hooley | 30 comments Anyone else think he sounds a bit like Neil Gaiman?

As for the books, superheroes aren't really my thing but I might give the "godpunk" a try.

message 6: by Mike (new)

Mike (mikeescutia) | 21 comments Good interview. Not only did it convince me to buy Empire State (which was already on my list of books to read), it even got me to post to these forums again. :)

Christopher Preiman | 347 comments It was a great interview and he seems like a cool guy. Makes me feel bad that i didn't like Empire State.

I think he sounds like Paul Cornell.

terpkristin | 4407 comments I'm glad somebody bumped this thread. I finally got to listen to this yesterday at work and really enjoyed it. I always love the "author's process" discussions. I'm not that into superheroes or the noir style, but I'll probably give Empire State a go at some point. :)
