Catherine (makingmesses) | 2 comments All I can remember is a line where a kid says his father realized that buttoning up his shirt from bottom to top took less time than top to bottom. I think it was a non fiction about a large family, maybe set in the 40s-60s. There were old cars in it. I think I read it in high school or middle school.

I think so three. :o)

That is definitely one of the things that I could see the father in this family finding out, altho it has been so long since I read it that I don't remember if this is or is not one of the many time/labour saving things the father discovers.

Cheaper by the Dozen This is precisely one of the things the father does. He also shows his children the most efficient way to soap and rinse in the bathtub in order to have all those baths go as efficiently as possible. This is one of my favorite books.
