When the Wind Blows question

Who knows how far genetics will go in the future? As much as all these authors dream and conjure up all these experiments and even inventions, science is advancing everyday. Who knows what may go on in some dark, desolate laboratory somewhere in the near future? As far fetched as this might seem, it shouldn't be discounted as an impossibility.
