The YA Book Club discussion

Whether traveling down the rabbit hole (Alice in Wonderland) or reading books to life (Inkheart), avid readers can't help but imagine themselves in a book.

The question is, which book do you want to live in?

I think the Fablehaven series would be pretty exciting. Adventure, mystery and magic. The possibility that a magical world exists in the woods I walk in daily is better entertainment then music on a long hike.

For me, it's Harry Potter, no contest! I've always imagined getting a Hogwarts Letter in the mail. :)

For me it has to be the entire Hush, Hush.

The Iron fey. Id love having adventures with icy princes and puck.

Harry Potter, hands DOWN!!!!! I have always loved them and imagined what it would be like to go to Hogwarts. That would be awesome!

I might be crazy, but I'd love to live in The Morganville Vampires series. My friend and I used to race inside from my car like vampires were after us at night. No joke.

This is really tough. If you had asked me in elementary school, I would've said that I'd be a pokemon trainer and then go to Hogwarts, but now...
My top ones would be Harry Potter, Divergent (though I'd probably die pretty quickly), and Leviathan (Scott Westerfield one). Or maybe Airborn. Oh! or Lady of Devices! Any steampunk novel would be a perfect fit for me.

HP definitely. unfortunately, most of my favorite novels, I would actually NOT like to live in (ex: Shatter Me series, Delirium)

Oh forget it, BOOK ROADTRIP! (TID, Divergent, Delirium, Harry Potter-cuz I always wanted to try a butterbeer-Iron Fey, I have to say twilight, The Lightning Thief, TMI goes hand-in-hand with TID...Everything.)

I'd want to try Harry Potter, then Eragon, and then Inkheart.

There are so many supernatural YA books that I would trade normal, mundane life for. However, if I really had to choose one above all the others, I would choose The Mortal Instruments.
Oh, if only I was a Shadowhunter....

I really have no idea, but I would live in either inkheart, just so I could see all of the non- excitant animals. But I would also love to live the infernal devices (not really a book, but the series) as a shadow hunter......

I have seen many people saying Harry Potter is their choice of book worlds to live within. While I found those books and movies highly engaging, I have never felt compelled to want to be apart of that world.

What is it about the wizard world of Rowling's that makes you want to live there?

For me, the magic. Plain and simple. Who doesn't want to go to Hogwarts, learn spells, have pictures you can talk to, ghosts floating around everywhere...IDK, that is just me. LOL I thought it would be awesome to live that life...maybe have a pet hippogriff ya know. ;)
