wanda flanagan (lilblupixie) | 84 comments Have you read Kresley Coles Immortals After Dark? Molly Harper has a couple of really good series ,Michelle Bardsley Broken Heart series ,New Species by Laurann Dohner

message 3: by Gabby (new)

Gabby | 906 comments Vampires:
Have you read Vampire Academy? That's probably the best to start off with. Plus, there's Evernight as well. And Twilight is a good one, too!! Some others I enjoyed are Vampire Kisses, Eighth Grade Bites, Roseblood (Has werewolves in it, too),The Hunt and The Anti-Vampire Tale.

Werewolves:
You have to try Shiver and Prince of Wolves

Zombies:
And if you're an absolute zombie lover like me then I reccommend Mortality, Alice in Zombieland, Bad Taste in Boys

Any other paranormal creatures and I think I can help you out. These are just a few reccomendations :)

I liked them, not so much as VA, but if you liked Adrian and if wanted to know more about Sydney's background...then you will like the Bloodlines books.

Heidi Angell (heidiangell) | 64 comments I thoroughly enjoyed Vampire academy as well, but haven't been able to get into Bloodlines. Sadly, Rose was my fav, the others were just nice icing on the cake...

At the risk of tooting my own horn, I think you might enjoy The Hunters as it has been getting pretty good reviews.

I've heard lots of great things about The Night Huntress series as well! It is in my TTBR pile ;)

Good luck finding something fun to read!

message 21: by Femke (new)

Femke Demeyere | 5 comments I loved VA, but I was a little disappointed in the Blood Lines serie. It is a good serie, but I kinda missed Rose and Dimitri.
Have you read Mary Janice Davidson's undead serie? it's about a girl, Betsy, who was killed in a freak accident, wakes up in the morgue as a vampire and gets promptly crowned as queen of vampires. it's pretty funny.

I'm looking for some reviews for my new series, a Paranormal/Urban Fantasy with vampires. I also have some books free on Amazon, which are also about vampires (can you guess that I love to write vampire stories?).

I'm looking for reviews for these two books, both part of a series. If you're interested, please PM me.

Eternal Dark (Knight Blood #0.5) by Alexandra Lanc
Midnight (Knight Blood, #1) by Alexandra Lanc

These are free on Amazon, and have gotten really good reviews so far.

The first is a real-world, contemporary Paranormal set in France! Part two comes out next month (July).

Read the Flower The Beautiful Beginning (Fleur Passages #1) by Alexandra Lanc

Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Read-Flower-Fle...

This one is a vampire Dystopia, and is also getting good reviews. Part two is coming out in the fall.

The Legend of Juliet Part One (Finding Freedom Novellas, #1) by Alexandra Lanc

Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Legend-Juliet-D...

Also, I've been reading this book, which deals with vampires and werewolves. It's more modern, college setting, but it's interesting.

Gothic (Shadows of Melbourne, #1) by Nicole D. Fergusson

I hope that helps! Happy reading. :)

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

I also got some good recommendations! Thanks! :)

I can second Vampire Kisses. I loved that series.

James Loftus If I could recommend Time of the Unicorn a great book on medieval witchcraft, and the medieval mind. A group shipwrecked on the coast of Portugal, a crafty woman, always cause for suspicion, leads the survivors to safety, and finds then the measure of their thanks ... a hot fire that she herself burns within.
