Ok, anyone else seriously feel like there's WAY too many books out there they want to read - and keep finding more and more here on GR you want to read? I need to quit perusing the books I want to read there's just sooooo many!

Yup and its putting a damper in my wallet! I can't help it though, especially with that one click at amazon. Lol

I vowed, not to buy any more books till my TBR pile says 100. So far that's not working. On the plus side, I've only bought half the books I normally buy....in a month. I think it's only like 8 so far in June. :)

The one click is definitely a killer of budgets. I have an Amazon credit card I use just for books, I'll never pay it off.

You mean that the Amazon credit card is supposed to be paid off??? Opps, I thought the balance was just supposed to keep climbing.

Sigh, and yeah, there are so many books and so few hours in the day.

lol that's why my hubby bought me a pre paid card to get my books off Amazon. That way I only spend what I can. My to read pile is huge as well, but since I only really get into series, I am able to track down my out of print books on Amazon without feeling guilty. I have a journal I write the names of books I want to get so that I always have my list so if I come across them at a yard sale or flea market I know what I have and what I don't. I once bought fifteen of the Dark Hunter's series from a flea market.

I do love "buying' the $0.00 free books off amazon...but since I'm in the middle of a series (Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Mysteries) and have a TON more series TO read...we'll see when I get to those others. But then I see more I want to read...it's a vicious circle.

Yes, yes and yes again! TBR has uber-hundreds on it, massive wishlist is ever growing....and STILL I see more I want!

I literally have thousands of books in my TBR pile (to be fair a LOT of them were freebies) but I know there are more there than I will probably ever read. To be fair if I stopped buying them on release day I might one day catch up but that will never happen. ;)

i SOOOO luv the free reads..so on the off chance that the author sucks i don't regret

I soooo feel you. I have only put the first books of a series onto my tbr-pile so it at least looks like there are not so many books. Who am I kidding? LOL.

Yeah--the freebies from Amazon AND B&N just really add to that ol' tbr mountain range. I think my range is starting to rival the Himalayas.

Sadly I have to spend money on each new author, unless I get a trade, as I only read physical books

It turns out I end up liking only a few freebies. The freebies I do like,I notice, tend to be book 1. Then I end up buying the rest. What a sales gimmick!

@MadamZelda - i have notices that!!! It makes a lot of sense of course, though, to do that :-p

My tbr pile is huge. One day, I'll get to it, I suppose.

I do the exact same thing. I always say I am too clumsy to own a gadget that I would probably throw away on accident, burn, run over it, or drown it in my pool by accident. Plus too many jobs are in the real books for me to quit buying real books.

The one-click buying feature on Amazon gets me everytime. I also find myself justifying my purchases b/c Kindle books are cheaper than paperback (most of the time).

I have so many books on my Kindle and I haven't read all of them. Then, I find myself buying more books even though I haven't read all of the books on my Kindle.

There aren't enough hours in the day to read all the books I want to read. I have this annoying thing called "work" that takes up most of my day - hahaha ;). Then, sometimes when I get home I'm so drained that it's hard to read :/

Yes, I think whomever decided the workweek should be five should be shot.
