Rose Romano | 28 comments Well, my computer from hell finally decided to let me get back to this site and I've been looking through the messages of this club. I read a little of a series of amazing sentences in literary and it reminded me of something I heard years ago at the Brooklyn Public Library while I was waiting my turn to talk to the guy at the information desk.

There was a young woman with a small child in a stroller talking to him and apparently she wanted to do some research in peace by leaving her child with her husband when he got home from work. So she said: What day are you open the latest 'till?

The information guy, who must have been from Brooklyn, too, instead of saying Hah?!? Said: Wednesday at 8.

I live in Italy and sometimes I just get sooooo homesick!

Well, at least we can celebrate the word till, which is a perfectly legitimate preposition and conjunction with an excellent blood line.

As for Brooklyn, too many artful Dodgers....
