Still on Keep the Aspidistra Flying (kindle). Trying to decide for audio between Middlemarch and Daniel Deronda. And THEN decide which performance/narrator to choose!
I've just joined the group, so I'm not sure of the best place to put this. Am about 50 pages into The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. So far that has mainly been made up of the Introduction so too early to say if enjoying it.
Starting on audio, Middlemarch.Now between Kindle and audio I'm reading the last 2 books to make a goal by year's end. I think I'm on track. :o)
Started Amadis of Gaul yesterday, May take a while.
I had three Salman Rushdie books I'd picked up and asked the bookish people on my Twittersphere which to start with (I've never read Rushdie before) and ended up with a whole different title from a friend that I ended up getting on ebook. The Ground Beneath Her Feet is the one I ended up with.

I just started Schooling by Heather McGowan last night. Not sure about this one, it is a stream of consciousness which is just not my thing.

My sister is named Tara because it was my mom's favorite book. She died this past year, and her birthday is in two weeks. I should read it. I've heard only great things. And my husband loves the movie.

The Black Dahlia by James Ellroy (audiobook) - I've started this several times & I think this time I'm going to finish it.

Starting "The 13 Clocks" by James Thurber, and just downloaded the "120 Days of Sodom" as well...I figure "one Sodom per day" oughta do it...
