Sarah | 2 comments I've just joined the group, so I'm not sure of the best place to put this. Reading in one of the threads, I saw a link to a 2013 read along of In Search of Lost Time, which inspired me to search and then find a similar group for 2014. If any one else is interested...

Karena (karenafagan) I had three Salman Rushdie books I'd picked up and asked the bookish people on my Twittersphere which to start with (I've never read Rushdie before) and ended up with a whole different title from a friend that I ended up getting on ebook. The Ground Beneath Her Feet is the one I ended up with.

I really struggled to get going the first time which seems silly given that it is so short! Must be a mood thing as I am almost finished.

I find his writing style a bit convoluted. He uses " he","she", "him" so much that I am a bit confused on who he means. The story is worth wading through the muck though!

I can't believe it, but I haven't read this yet. My sister is named Tara because it was my mom's favorite book. She died this past year, and her birthday is in two weeks. I should read it. I've heard only great things. And my husband loves the movie.

I DEFINITELY recommend it highly. And it would be great to read and think of your mom.
