Then there are a couple of others that aren't updated daily as "A Dribble of Ink", "A Fantasy Reader", "Upcoming4me" or "Bastard Books".

There have been a few books she's mentioned that I've been interested in checking out. Technically, I may be biased since she reviewed one of my books. But in all honesty, I am genuinely fascinated by the books she reviews and checks out.

My current favorite author, R. Scott Bakker, writes a blog called Three Pound Brain that I probably spend more time with than any other site on the net. It is not a "book blog," however. Scott uses the blog mainly as a tool to communicate his philosophy and views on a variety of things - primarily new findings in neuroscience and cognitive science, his theory of consciousness (called Blind Brain Theory) as well as the occassional post critical of academic and literary culture. http://rsbakker.wordpress.com/
My favorite book related post on the blog is probably his review of David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest, called "Alas Poor Wallace." This just might be my single favorite piece of literary criticism. http://rsbakker.wordpress.com/2011/10...
