Bill | 116 comments What are your favorite blogs about books and reading. Sci Fi and Fantasy obviously, but general books as well.

Matthew (masupert) | 0 comments I don't follow much specifically to books, but Tor.com for sure. IO9 also has quite a few good book posts every week, but isn't specifically a book blog.

Mpauli Definately Tor.com. Daily blogs include also "Fantasy Book Critic" and SF Signal.

Then there are a couple of others that aren't updated daily as "A Dribble of Ink", "A Fantasy Reader", "Upcoming4me" or "Bastard Books".

Sean Lookielook Sandulak (seansandulak) | 444 comments There is a list of author's and writing related blogs at the Writers Resources section of Foil & Phaser. Today we added Robert J. Sawyer's blog. I'll be sure to add any more sites that people post here.

There have been a few books she's mentioned that I've been interested in checking out. Technically, I may be biased since she reviewed one of my books. But in all honesty, I am genuinely fascinated by the books she reviews and checks out.

Dara (cmdrdara) | 2702 comments I just read Tor.com every day. I occasionally read SF Signal. I really don't need more because my TBR list is long enough.

Dharmakirti | 942 comments The ones I check out most often are
- Neth Space - http://nethspace.blogspot.com/
- Pat's Fantasy Hotlist - http://fantasyhotlist.blogspot.com/

My current favorite author, R. Scott Bakker, writes a blog called Three Pound Brain that I probably spend more time with than any other site on the net. It is not a "book blog," however. Scott uses the blog mainly as a tool to communicate his philosophy and views on a variety of things - primarily new findings in neuroscience and cognitive science, his theory of consciousness (called Blind Brain Theory) as well as the occassional post critical of academic and literary culture. http://rsbakker.wordpress.com/

My favorite book related post on the blog is probably his review of David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest, called "Alas Poor Wallace." This just might be my single favorite piece of literary criticism. http://rsbakker.wordpress.com/2011/10...
