Besides Death in the Afternoon what are you reading this month?

For me, I'm thinking about reading The Unknowns: A Novel, The Suite Life, Questions of Travel, Oryx and Crake and if I still have time Happy Hour in Hell, The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P.: A Novel, The Never List, Kiss Me First

I'm currently reading Autumn Manor and listening to A Thousand Splendid Suns.

And then I'd like to read Cloudstreet and Touch & Go.

Reading Our Mutual Friend for the challenge. I'll probably read a few more for the challenge after this, not sure which ones though.

I'm reading some selections from Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales for a club read. I've read most of the well-known ones before but it's fun to go back and re-read and also read new ones.

this month ive already read inheritance by christoper paolini and inferno by dan brown. About to start One day by David nicholls

Currently I'm reading Persuasion and The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time, which is a reread for me because I remember very little of it from 9 years ago. After that I'm not sure maybe The Help which is part of one of my challenges for the year.

I am reading Mr Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore and I'm also revisiting the first Harry Potter book.

I'm reading Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver.

I am reading And the Mountains Echoed and will finish The Virgin Suicides this weekend.

I'm reading several novels by the Hungarian writer Sándor Márai and by the French author Patrick Modiano

I finished Flight Behavior - wonderfully crafted, personal character development, unfolding to local context, and then global context of climate change. Very visual. Thought it was great!

Now reading Lost Horizon by James Hilton and decided to read it because a question came up, can you have utopia without dystopia, so wanted to find out! (Haven't finished so not sure yet.)

Reading A CENTURY OF WISDOM, Alice Herz-Sommer and ALZHEIMER'S EARLY STAGES, Daniel Kuhn.

Oryx and Crake is wonderful, and so is the other book --I think it's called After the Flood. The 3rd book in this trilogy, which is by Margaret Atwood, just came out. I hope to read it soon.

I am reading Vanity Fair and am surprised that I'm not crazy about it. There's so much in it I don't understand, cultural references and things I've never heard of. I'd been on a Jane Austen binge and then someone recommended VF. I'm disappointed and not sure I'll finish it.

I read a free sample excerpt of FB and thought it was great. Then I forgot about it, so thanks for the reminder.

I'm reading Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier as part of the 2013 Easy Challenge (I'm quite late to this party!) Loving it so far.

I quit VF. Life is too short for long books I don't like. Started House of Mirth, which I love already.
