Judi I'm re-reading this entire series by Elizabeth Peters because I love it so much. I finally finished my schooling and needed a break from "heavy" books. Peters is an absolutely hysterical writer and if you love a good mystery, she weaves a great tale and is an exceptional writer!

You are right on the money. Peters adds a lot of flair to the genre of 1800s historical fiction.

Shellsuzie I love this series. It's even better in audiobook, though. Barbara Rosenblat does an AWESOME job with unique voices for each character, and it feels like a true performance instead of someone reading a book. I believe the first 2-3 books are done by Susan O'Malley, after that Rosenblat does the rest.

Moonlight I've been re-reading via audio books these days as well. As far as I'm concerned, this is the perfect blend or mystery, history and humor. You can get the entire series recorded by Barbara Rosenblat now. That's what I have and she is very good!
