My first thought is that GR has promised a percentage-complete progress bar soon.
My second is to wonder how one would determine number of pages for an ebook that doesn't have that determined?

You also have the factor that the number of pages for an electronic book can vary depending on a number of factors. Size of screen (Kindle format can be read on the iphone as well), what size font is used, whether someone chooses to read in landscape or portrait mode.
Personally I tend to use a rather small font, so the total number of pages I read will very likely be different from the total number of pages you read, especially with larger books. The percentage, when added, will be a much more useful measure.

Exactly. I don't know what is being used for those Kindle books that do have an "official" page number -- possibly just the number of pages in the print edition?

I like to update what page number I'm on with a Kindle book (by multiplying the percent complete by total pages). I'm thinking it would be nice to have number of pages for Kindle editions in order to see the progress bar. Any thoughts?
Thanks.
