I'm thrilled that this is one of the best books I've read.
Her characters are very strong. I feel like I'm watching a movie.
Did anyone else feel this way?

Trish (trishria) Not far into the book will let you know what II think when I read more of the book...

Cindy | 23 comments I can always tell how much I like the book by how fast the "movie plays" for me. This is a good story I am enjoying it only on page 208

Cindy | 23 comments Love the familiar towns and even some "big" names that I recognize

Patricia (pekemom) | 30 comments Hi ladies- sadly, i have been in a reading slump since surgery. So strange for me. But, i started reading Into the Wilderness and can't put it down. Love the characters and the local references. I am about 1/3 into it and find myself constantly wanting to get back to it. It will be fun discussing it. :)

Cindy | 23 comments Just finished the book my oh my....

Trish (trishria) Can't wait to catch up I have a long way to go but will finish in time!

Patricia (pekemom) | 30 comments Just finished Into the Wilderness and loved it. So happy this is a series!

Trish (trishria) I am only on page 155 plan to read some more today. Good thing I have 19 more days to finish the book I am going to need it...

Cindy | 23 comments It was so good and so intense that I'm having trouble reading travels with charley. Not nearly as fast paced and exciting

Patricia (pekemom) | 30 comments Trisha - I know you will do it. Rely on the Trisha formula, lol.

Patricia (pekemom) | 30 comments Absolutely, Cindy. Into the wilderness was so fast paced, and it left you wanting more! Travels with Charley is slower paced, but I find the writing is so beautiful. John Steinbeck has a way with words, but he can also be verrrry descriptive. It's a small book, but may take a while to get through. Hope it picks up for you :)

Cindy | 23 comments Yes he does get a little bogged down in some descriptions. I thought it would be a nice break for my mind, but I think I need a little unwind :) I do love charley the French dog.-too funny

Kim I am almost finished with this book. I didn't realize upon reading it that it would have such a romance involved...I have always been one not for the romance stuff but I LOVE IT! Wow. The book takes a lot of my energy, I spent over 2 hours reading it last night and could not put it down. I get so drawn in to the characters and what is going on, it's addicting. I just ordered book #2 and it should arrive at my door before I finish up this one. The books are thick and intimidating but I've enjoyed it so far!!!

Trish (trishria) Glad you enjoyed the book so much Kim. I agree that there was great chemistry between the two lovers. Enjoy the series.
