Historical Fictionistas discussion

I have read The Pleasures of Men, and several books about Jack The Ripper and Erzebet Bathory, but I'm always hungry for me. Any suggestions for historical fiction pieces about famous serial killers or in solved murders? I'm partial to stories set in London or Italy. C:

Have you read . It's not set in London or Italy. It's about the world's fair in Chicago 1893. It also about H.H. Holmes where he killed something like 30 people or more. Not sure the exact number.

I have read another book on Holmes but not this one even though it is in my TBR piles

Have read lots of Ripper books - favorite is The Many Faces of Jack the Ripper
but that is non- fiction

Also if you haven't read "Perfume : Story of A Murderer". I read it. I didn't care for it but you might like it. It takes place in Paris. It is fiction.

Check out anything about Edward Rulloff (1820-1871) - serial killer, philologist, and possessor of the second largest brain reputed to be known in human history.

Did you read Dust and Shadow: An Account of the Ripper Killings by Dr. John H. Watson? I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the book and the narration was excellent.
