A writer should know that if a man or woman is half black and they are with a black person, then the book is not interracial.
Maybe you should write the author Justine, do so by email, if she has an email address and ask her nicely why is she labeling her book as interracial romance. I know that I would do so.
I wouldn't want to buy a book that is said to be interracial, but it's not.

Eek, that's a bummer. Sorry to hear Justine. :-(
That's a good idea, Arch. I notice sometimes books like this get mislabeled on Amazon as well. I'm glad when the reviews say whether or not they are IR or if there's a surprise like this one.

I'm too mad right now to speak to her. If I were to contact her now it would just be a cussing out!!!! I have to really calm down first. And by the time I'm calm I suspect that it won't matter to me anymore. ah well...

I really really loved the first two. Loved em!!!! Now not so much anymore. hmmmmmm isn't that strange????

I just finished Indecent Proposal by AC Arthur, which was a non-stop sexual romp. Definitely, for when you are in the mood for a "spicier" book. But I must say that the three, more like three and a half, concurrent story lines got a little confusing at times.
I couldn't stand not knowing who the mysterious lover of the bride-to-be was so I skipped like five chapters to receive a none too welcome surprise. It really sucked finding out 1) who the guy was, 2) what happened to one of the friends, and 3) how said friend exacted revenge and the consequences thereof. OK, so it's more of a teaser than a spoiler.
Anyway, I never finished it. Not after I found all this out and discovered that it also was not interracial, which was the only reason I bought it anyway. I don't really like books where there are multiple couples whose romances are concurrently developing during the course of the novel. I think the only one I have liked recently was Celya Bower's "The Foursome." I like that one a lot and it's got one interracial couple. Hmm, I need to add that one to my Goodreads.

Thanks for the heads up, Shunda. This sounds like one to avoid.

So what has me so upset?!? Well it's not much really – JUST THE DEVICE OF THE HERO BEING PART BLACK has been used again.
The Chevalier saga set in New Orleans was I thought brilliant – inspite of the spelling and grammatical errors. The men were A types and the women had their crap together. But in the most recent book in the series – the dragon of a grand mother of the heroes turns out to be black. I’m so ticked of right now.
I abhor when writers do this! I despise this plot twist! If I want an IR book – that’s exactly what I want!!!! Is this too much to ask!?!?!!!!
Ok, now that I’ve gotten that off my chest!!!!!!!!
