Anima Miejska | 1698 comments Welcome to the challenge, Claire. I really liked The Quiche of Death, I generally like Beaton's series. I also have Cloud Atlas on my TBR list. Share your thought on the reads, please :)

Have a great time reading :)

Wow, not one book on there that I've read .... I'm not sure I dare look at them though, I already have enough on my TBR! :)

Cathie (catitude) | 1511 comments Watership Down; now that's a classic! Have fun completing this challenge :-)

message 6: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments Thanks Cathie. I read Watership Down when I was in school (so a very long while ago!) but I don't remember anything about it so I am looking forward to reading it again.

message 7: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments First book finished. Affinity is the fourth Sarah Waters book I have read and they were all great. Tipping the Velvet is still my favourite though.

Cathie (catitude) | 1511 comments Yay Claire! lol. Now onto the next one :-)

Claire | 38 comments Second book finished!

Cathie (catitude) | 1511 comments Did you enjoy Bitter Water, Claire?

I did! It started off quite slowly but ended up with a gun battle by Loch Lomond. It definitely wasn't dull.

message 12: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments Finished Cloud Atlas, really enjoyed it.

It is six separate but connected stories, they are quite different to each other but all are good. Would definitely recommend it.

message 13: by Anima (new)

Anima Miejska | 1698 comments Oh, Claire, I have this book for a long time on my TBR, glad to know that it is worth reading :)

message 14: by Mollydee (new)

Mollydee | 23 comments I started my own list but only have 6 letters :) I will check out yours and see if there is anything I am interested in :) Thanks for posting.

message 15: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments Finished The Damned United. A slightly strange book. It was OK but not something I would recommend to anyone unless they were especially interested in the subject.

message 16: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments Read The Eyre Affair, really good. It reminded me a little of the Rivers of London (Peter Grant, #1) by Ben Aaronovitch series and Doctor Who.

message 17: by Anima (new)

Anima Miejska | 1698 comments Claire, Rivers of London looks really interesting, I added it to my TBR :)

message 18: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments Anima, hope you enjoy Rivers of London its the start of a good series.

message 19: by Claire (last edited Dec 03, 2013 01:34AM) (new)

Claire | 38 comments Finished The Founding. I think I have read it before there were little bits that I recognised, my Mum loved this series so I probably borrowed it off her. Interesting story it covered a period of about 50 years and there were lots of marriages and everyone having lots of babies and I did get a bit confused about who was who. I would like to read the rest of the series there are 35 so far!

message 20: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments I've decided to change my G book to The Green Mile.

✿ ♥ Heather ♥ ✿ (frangiegal) | 181 comments Hi Claire, wow you're reading yours in alpha order.... That really really makes it challenging! I might try that next year (2015)

message 22: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments Hi Heather, it would really irritate me to do them out of order!

message 23: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments I've also changed K to The Kite Runner and P to Prime Suspect 2.

message 24: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments And S to The Shining Girls.

message 25: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments Finished another two. The Green Mile was good and quite sad at the end. I didn't really enjoy High Rise only 173 pages but still felt too long.

message 26: by Claire (new)

Claire | 38 comments Only 2 days from original end date and I'm not even halfway! So I'll give myself another year.
