Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

This is a weird book! There's already a Volume 1, the ISBN of which is different and shows up on the publisher's site. When I search for this one's ISBN on Amazon, it says it's volume 4...but there's already an entry for v4??

There's also another one with a similar problem...

Is there any possibility that there was a pre-run under a different ISBN..? Otherwise I don't know what's going on... I've cleaned up the rest of the Shutterboxes, aside from those two.

Urh...found more...both are library bindings of volume one, but one of them (the former) has mangled author names. ._.

This is definitely a sticky one. I took a brief look, and see what you mean. I'm not sure that there's good way to solve it without having the books in hand...

That's fine, vicki_girl, thanks for the reply, at least! So I'm not being too paranoid. XD At least they aren't very popular books, so it's probably not too big an issue. Maybe we could put a note in the desc asking anyone with the actual book to come forward? XD

That's an idea. I'd wait and see what some others thought though. Most of the time I think people just leave them be and hope someone else comes along and fixes it. There's plenty to work on without working yourself up about ones like this. ;)
