You know, I think that the series (Kane Chronicles & Heroes of Olympus) will combine at some point. Because in The Serpents shadow, Sadie & Carter's mom predicted "other gods" and why else would Rick Riordan be doing 2 series at once?

I read somewhere that he was doing a a series based on Norse Mythology next...

I bet Riordans idea of putting the two series together was the Son of Sobek that he did. I doubt he will do much more than that until later if/when he is out of other ideas.

Dont hate, but I dont really like Jasper. Its not really fair to Reyna concidering the fact that she has real, good memories with Jason. A whole relationship based on lies wont work. It will end up with him lieing to her like this:
Jason: "I dont think we should date anymore Piper."
Piper:"But why?"
Jason:"I dont think our relationship is true."
Piper:"ARE YOU SAYING OUT RELATIONSHIP ISNT REAL?!"
Jason:"Well..."
PIper?"I thought i was special! Dont you love me anymore?"
Jason:"Im sorry, but i think its right."
Piper:(runs off crying her eyes out)
Jason:(mutters to himself)"Great. i just got a great girl to hate me."

OK just to clear this up but I don't think Reyna and Jason were actually dating before the series because when she was asked about it by Percy, Reyna said that "we might have, given time." So since they weren't dating when Jason was taken away, how exactly is this unfair again? Maybe Jason just doesn't like her that way. This is coming from a guy who has had friends like me that way but I never liked them back, it's best to just let the girl (Reyna) gets over it herself.

They did. Son of Sobek (which shortens, weirdly enough, to SoS) released earlier this year, and is basically a story about when Carter and Percy run into each other. They refuse to tell each other about where they're from, but Carter draws an Eye of Horus on Percy's palm, so that if Percy ever needs his help, he (Percy) can call Carter.

Okay, coming back to the point- Jiper. Relationship improved slightly in HoH, but not much. If there is a breakup, it's not really going to be big. Reaction will be a shrug, and "No surprise there." Reaction will be "What?!" if Jason dumps Piper and she takes it calmly. I'll reread the scene in total astonishment if Piper dumps Jason.

Sure, it may be a nice change to have a couple we're not exactly fans of...but whatever character development's happening there isn't really having much of an effect in the other scenes. It's either that or- I missed the part when Jason was supposed to turn 'Greek'. Sure, he's loosened up a bit, but how was there such a degree of change that those zombies didn't recognise the fact that he was a 'ranking Roman officer'?

I think it's odd how Jason automatically runs to Piper if something is happening. It almost feels like he's under a spell sometimes. I like Piper and everything, but I sometimes think she does influence him a bit. Like in the one chapter in House of Hades when Jason was thinking about Reyna and all of a sudden he was flooded with thoughts of Piper, whilst she was sitting RIGHT THERE. I think that's a bit odd.
However, I don't have anything against the pairing. I do think it's pretty cute. There are just some parts that leave me wondering if it's a real relationship or not.

Guys, guys, enough with the relationship arguments! I have something epic to show you guys. Okay, so did anybody notice the easter egg that I saw? On page 26 they were talking about the Doors of Death and Piper says they keep coming back like water from a leaky dam, then Percy says, "Yeah. We've got a dam hole." Piper says what but Percy just says that it was an inside joke. To anyone that didn't catch that, if you have your The Titan's Curse, go to page 199 which will be the first page of chapter 14 and read the name of the chapter. I HATE Jasper. All that Piper cares about is her relationship this, her relationship that, And all that Jason cares about is what Piper thinks. Piper is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo dependent on every body else and she can't even use a dagger. She has a power and doesn't use it. Annabeth doesn't have a special power like charm speak, do you see HER complaining. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Jason is too strict. Percy has ADHD and stuff but he uses it to his advantage. If Jason was on the deck at the time Chryasior came, all of the crew would have been captured: Hello Apocalypse. The Jasper relationship is practically based off of false memories. I think Reyna deserves Jason. And you people who think that if Jason really liked Reyna they would have started dating, then think again. It's like what happened to Percabeth, 5 years of friendship, then they started dating. Who knows how much time Jason and Reyna were praetors together. Percabeth is the best couple EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! iPROBABLY WOULD SHED TEARS OF JOY IF THEY BROKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY is everyone stuck on Jasper? I dont see anyone talking about Frank and Hazle's relationship or Leo's and Cyclapso's relationship. Those are the real things we should be talking about. I mean, Leo and Cyclapso are really sad. That will be what the prophsy means by "oth to keep with the final breath." Leo wil probally die succeding to get her off the island. Her story is really sad. I love how she refuses to fall for him and when she finally does, he gets ripped awaycrully from her. PERCY FORGOT ABOUT HER!!!!!!!!!!!
But hey, that only judges his charecter, so whatever.

DUDE! MAJOR SPOILER! DANG! The reason everyone was talking about Jasper is because they're the most developed relationship AND the most talked about in the book. But how could you possibly tell everybody that Leo would get somebody? And that he would probably die? I mean come on! At least warn everybody that there would be a spoiler! You suck, dude. I'm very calm. XD I just like doing this b/c I can't argue at home without someone stopping me. So I can't use any of my snarky (or, apparently, senseless) comebacks.

I don't think that Jason and Piper are right for eachother. They barely act like a couple, just close friends!!! If they were a couple, Jason would know because he would act like the boyfriend he should be acting as. It's annoying!!! Piper thinks that Jason's perfect for her but he doesn't seem to like her like that. Why can't Piper and Jason open their eyes (metaphorically) and see that they aren't right for eachother. Instead, Piper just mopes around; hoping that Jason will see and act like her boyfriend.

He did. My question is why the gods forgot about it. And if they did, how did Calypso know about it?
Maybe they didn't consider Calypso as 'Titan-kind' as Percy says, but if that's true, that's just...indicating a slight lack of intelligence.
I wonder why Calypso couldn't get off the island...maybe something to do with how long she'd been away from the world, stuck on Ogygia. I'm hoping that'll get solved in the next book.
