Victory Okkk. Got it.

I don't care who Jason ends up with, cause he's going to die, or I hope so. Anyway then Piper can like Leo :)
but if he doesn't die he should go back to Reyna because she has know him longer then Piper and Jason was close to Reyna. But it's not Piper's fault the mist made her think Jason was her boyfriend, so she's just there.

message 153: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker Just because Jason knew Reyna longer doesn't mean he has to date her! If he doesn't like her that way, there's no point in the relationship. The feeling is not mutual! Would anybody like being forced to date some person from their school they don't want to date just because they've known them longer? No! Thank you!

message 154: by Tyler (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tyler Bossom My point exactly! Thank you! And does anybody remember how Reyna tried to get Percy when she thought Jason was lost forever and Percy was the new Praetor? Honestly I would prefer Piper to that anyway at least she is loyal.

Kaivallya It's not necessary that all the characters have to have a girlfriend or boyfriend. I think Jiper is a bit weird, but I don't really mind whether it continues or there's a breakup (or Jason dies). IF something happens (i.e. a breakup/death), it doesn't matter if they don't get paired off again.
Considering Jiper's already there, there isn't much point in changing it. But I still think the relationship is strange, because of various reasons:
a)Jason acts as if he's under a spell
b)The relationship starts on literally the first page of Lost Hero.
c)Jason has never seemed comfortable with the relationship.

message 156: by Tyler (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tyler Bossom I don't see how he acts like he's under a spell though. Just because you think about somebody a lot doesn't mean you are, it just means you care about what they think. I do agree with the other two, though.

versa Not as much as Percabeth...

Victory So cool how we get still keep this disscusion going

Tyler Bossom ikr

message 160: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker I feel like that is a funny word.

message 161: by Tyler (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tyler Bossom Wouldn't that be Reyna and Jason and Piper. Because there is no "per" in either Reyna's or Jason's names...

message 162: by Tyler (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tyler Bossom So would it be Reyson or Jayna?

message 163: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker I don't know. I think they would be more like partners or friends than a boyfriend and girlfriend, no matter what they said. I can't really imagine Reyna showing much emotion towards anybody under any circumstances, let alone in public. This said, they could be happy. I don't think you can only be happy with one person in the world. Then almost everyone woud be lonely. So yeah, they would work. But I have to say I don't think there's anything wrong with Jasper either.

message 164: by Tyler (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tyler Bossom That is a good point. Also I'm pretty sure Jason never actually liked her or at least Reyna never told him she did because when Percy asked her about it she said that they "might have been [in a relationship], given time". Also she tried to get with Percy. And everybody is mad because they say Piper is pushing her relationship, but everyone seems to be pushing this one instead.

message 165: by Ananth (new)

Ananth In MoA Leo said that Jason and Piper's idea of "quality time" left him out. They are ditching Leo.

To be completely honest, I don't think Piper has had enough of a tough life to use it as an excuse. Yes, she grew up with one parent, which is always rough. But her father, despite not always being around, clearly cared about her. Piper is beautiful, intelligent, and has had every opportunity to really do something, instead of whining about how hard being pretty and not wanting to be beautiful is. (I'm exaggerating, I know, but you get the picture, hopefully.) Not to be shallow, but there are girls who would kill for natural good looks, and I don't care to hear Piper's whining, whether or not she is one of those girls. Instead of trying to be anything, Piper steals things for attention and generally acts annoying. That is literally the most irritating thing a character can do, hands down.

I agree. Like even with Reyna out of the picture I just don't like Jasper. They're relationship seems fake. Yeah yeah they really like each other blah blah blah but it doesn't seem like they're in love. Like Chris and Clarisse have a deeper relationship then jasper and they're not even main characters. I don't 100% like Jeyna but jasper is just ugh

That is a really good point when you say it like that yeah she isn't the most greatful character ever...

message 169: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker Correction, Piper STOLE things. She doesn't anymore. Now she saves the butts of other demigods and the entire world in the process. But not Gaea.

message 170: by Ananth (new)

Ananth Piper didn't steal Jason's heart yet however.

message 171: by Natalie (last edited Feb 20, 2014 06:03AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Natalie Piper and Jason don't quite fit together. They seem to be a couple more out of the "necessity" of having romance in a book, jammed together for the purpose of having someone together. Their personalities honestly don't seem to compliment each other, unlike the other couples in the books. Piper and Jason aren't really a picture perfect couple, despite the cutesiness the relationship tries so hard to convey. It just doesn't work, in my opinion.

exactly

message 173: by Isreal (new) - rated it 5 stars

Isreal Okeowo what makes a legit relationship it maybe biased off of Hera foolishness messing with roman and Greek life but they like each other and that is OK as long as it doesn't get in the way of percy and annabeth way i am good with them

message 174: by Ananth (new)

Ananth Although Jason is not my favorite character, dare I say it, he is a thousand times better than Piper.

message 175: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker asdfghjkl NO.

message 176: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker I wasn't intentionally hurtful. If that hurt you then you might not have much luck on the internet.

message 177: by Ananth (new)

Ananth Why, are you Hermes? Watch what you poke with a stick, it might just bite your head off!

Ooh, snake.

"Technically" is creepy.

message 181: by Ananth (new)

Ananth Frazel and Jasper are failures. It's pretty obvious.

message 182: by Tyler (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tyler Bossom I haven't gotten far enough to see Frazel yet Im only on the Mark of Athena still :(

message 183: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker Wat. Jasper is awesome.

message 184: by Ananth (new)

Ananth So being intimated by someone like Drew even when you know you're more powerful than them, is awesome?

message 185: by Mandi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mandi i do love jason and piper as a couple but they just seem a bit awkward

message 186: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker Piper isn't intimidated by her after she knows she's more powerful- but that has nothing to do with jasper.

Veronica I absolutely don't like Jasper.
No offence to those who do, but i just feel that Piper acts spoiled a lot and Jason is trying to strengthen their relationship, but she is just pushing him away and just thinking about herself. and she should apreiate what she has.

message 188: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker I feel like they're both working on it but they're both a little new to it- I mean, Piper's been estranged by the popular crowd for a long time and Jason comes from New Rome, he's kind of uptight- so give them time. They'll work it out.

message 189: by Ananth (new)

Ananth She stereotypes her own clan. What kind of person does that?

message 190: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker What do you mean? Drew is a jerk, and Piper duly noted that, but she hasn't really stereotyped anybody else. In fact, she seems pretty happy with a lot of her cabinmates. She only stereotyped the whole group before it was "her own clan".

message 191: by Aayush (new) - rated it 5 stars

Aayush {Ryo} Jason doesn't care about the relationship. Piper cares too much. I like them both, but Jason is semi-emotionless and Piper is overemotional. =Bad Couple
Piper likes Jason because he's hot.

message 192: by [deleted user] (new)

Jason was with Reyna first, when he remember that he was like "Who cares I like Piper better." I am just sad Leo is his best friend...

message 193: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker Jason was NEVER WITH REYNA.

message 194: by [deleted user] (new)

True.. But they liked each other and she is hurt that he's with Piper.

message 195: by Tyler (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tyler Bossom Jason never liked Reyna and they were never together. Reyna liked Jason but never said anything. Jason was and is completely oblivious to that. And if you guys are trying to wish Reyna and Jason together so badly for something that never happened, you should remember that Reyna tried to make Percy a praetor, basically saying "f*** you, Jason!"

message 197: by Ananth (new)

Ananth But that's the whole point of this thread.

message 198: by Parker (new) - rated it 5 stars

Parker Not totally...

message 199: by Tyler (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tyler Bossom Ananth wrote: "But that's the whole point of this thread."

I think its more of a debate kind of thing than a hatred kind of thing. Some people may have gotten to this point already, but I think we all like Percy and Annabeth better because we got a whole five book series in order to set it up and get it right. Everybody says that Piper and Jason were just thrown together, but maybe it seems that way because we've spent less time with them. They've only had one book to get together.
