Do you think Piper and Jason's relationship is legit? Do you like them in general?

After House of Hades, my opinion of each character separately has improved. Jason's "now I'm Roman, now I'm Greek" thing was hard to believe, but he is a little different. He seems more considerate. Or does it seem like that because that was an aspect of his personality that was never portrayed before?
(Okay, no, I don't think so. Because that's a crucial part of someone's personality, ESPECIALLY if they're on a quest.)
Piper's fight with Khione was really cool. I never knew her powers were so...powerful. She really showed that she cared for the quest and the people on the quest, which is a good thing. (A disinterested member on a quest is not exactly a recipe for success.)I'm also glad that she took care to learn how to use a weapon. Knowing how to use a weapon can help you out in situations where charmspeak can't. (Like in Midas' house, or on a battlefield where everything's too loud and happens too fast for charmspeak to be used. Charmspeak does have it's advantages, but if Piper can use both her power and her weapon, she's better prepared.)
And I like how she thinks of using the cornucopia as a way out of problems that don't involve starvation or thirst. A cornucopia may not be an effective weapon against a giant turtle, but it does help you distract an annoyed Heracles or save yourself from drowning in whatever she, Jason, and Percy were drowning in.
Anyone else agrees?

agreed
agreed

Pretty sure she was trying to get over the fact that her other candidate for her boyfriend was off the face of the planet for all she knew.

For like 8 months!"
What did Annabeth do when Percy disappeared?

You shouldn't judge people or characters based on their dietary habits.

Jason went missing for eight months there is a difference"
Do you really think Annabeth would have given up on him? She'd probably show herself to the Underworld before date someone else. I'm not trying to critize Reyna anymore. I just think she and Jason weren't an item, and I'm trying to defend my ship. (Jasper)

I didn't >.> I was replying to another post.

I do not think that Reyna is a bad person, she is a leader. if a leader isn't strong, or doesn't appear to be they wont be a leader for very long. I also think that your forgetting that it had been like 6 months since Jason had disappeared, she probably though he might be dead.

i heartily agree!

I do not think that jasper is real because due to the fact that jason felt he was really confused about his feelings about piper because there was this other girl (reyna) in the lost hero. I personally think that the relationship was made to ensure that the alliance between the Greeks and the Romans would most likely happen. In my own opinion I very much think this is not a good couple (people have their opinions please don't judge) I think that jason would be a better fit to reyna because they have REAL MEMORIES TOGETHER AND NOT FAKE ONES THAT JASPER HAS!!!!! their ship will get sucked in a whirl pool and see its death in my world...
Please do not judge my opinion cuz it's my opinion...✌️
I think it's implied Hera and Aphrodite are controlling their relationship.

I agree with the whole rule breaking and memory wipe thing. People are just comparing him to Percy too much.

1. Aphrodite is controlling the relationship. She had the talk with Reyna so Jason would never like her. She wants her daughter to be with a handsome guy so she makes the fake memories. Hera would have just left it at the illusion that all three of the lost trio were friends. It was Aphrodite who put the fake relationship in Piper's mind. When the girls met her in Charleston, Aphrodite was surprisingly silent on the topic. She probably didn't want her daughter to think she was influencing them.
2. It is implied that Piper was the first girl Jason ever liked. He never had feelings for Reyna. It is never said if he ever had a crush on anyone at Camp Jupiter. Percy admits to having crushes before Annabeth. It seems like that if Jason had a crush on someone at Camp Jupiter, it would have been mentioned when he was recalling people from his past. This leaves the possibility that maybe without Aphrodite's interfearance, he may have not been attracted to anybody at all. Generally saying, most teenaged boys have girls (or boys) on their minds. Jason was sixteen and had not shown that, but yet Percy, Frank, Leo, and Nico have.
3. It seems like Piper is also controlling the relationship with her daughter of Aphrodite powers. The whole thing where in the first page of the lost hero when Jason first notes that she is cute and how he notices her eyes. When he first meets other girls like Rachel or Annabeth, he doesn't note how they are attractive. Also, the part in the house of hades, mentioned before, where he thinks about Reyna and Piper clouds his thoughts.
Taking these points in mind, it seems that the relationship was forced and that Jason did not initiate it. He himself was never truly attracted to her, and she only liked him because of the fake memories. This does not however mean that it is a terrible one. They had some bumps, but in the end of the Blood of Olympus, they both seemed really happy. That is all that really matters.
And the whole Reyna isn't happy thing: she kind of brought it upon herself. Not that she chose to talk to Aphrodite, but that she chose to pursue demigods after the talk. She also was then a jerk to Jason because he didn't like her, which wasn't fair to him. This doesn't mean she is a bad person though, it just means that she has a lot to learn in love.

1. Frazel. They seemed like they were not really good for each other. Maybe as friends. Frank only really liked Hazel because she was attractive and the only girl who didn't reject him. Hazel only liked Frank because he was nice to her.
2. Caleo. They also were two characters who didn't seem like they were a good match. Calypso was quite mean and abrasive to Leo. Leo "falls in love" with any girl who is pretty. He is suddenly so obsessed with a girl he knew for a few days. Calypso seems like she doesn't really like him and that she just finds him funny.
3. Jasper. Their relatolionship was forced. I elaborated on this in a previous post.
4. Sadie and walt/anubis. This one is a no brainer. She only likes Anubis and Walt for looks. The whole solution was terrible. Can't choose between two guys, have both. My personal opinion is that Rick Riordan should have paired her up with Leo.
5. Carter and Zia. He likes her because she is beautiful. She only liked him because he was sweet on her.
6. Tyson and Ella. Yet another attempt to matchmake. Tyson seemed too mentally young to have a girlfriend.
This doesn't mean that the couples are bad though. It just means that Rick Riordan isn't a good romance writer, but really the books are about mythology and action, not romance. All that really matters to the characters is that they are happy.

I think RR was a little bit presumptuous to make the whole ships have a relationship with one another. Make Jasper break up and be best friends, because they'd make awesome best friends. But, this most likely isn't going to happen, I know.
If only this book was an NA, it'd be so much better
