I feel your pain, we all have a crazy friend that we can't convince to read amazing books, I pity them.

Okay, I know this is mostly a thread about Jasper, and I may mention that, but mostly I want to defend Piper.

I really don’t get why everyone hates Piper. In my opinion, she’s one of the best characters. She is totally insecure, but that’s not a damning trait, it’s a flaw and something she works on. She may seem a little clingy, but it’s because she doesn’t trust herself enough to be relaxed in the relationship.
Also,

I ship Jiper/Jasper for a lot of reasons, and why Reyna isn't Jason's girlfriend.

1. Jason remembered Reyna, but he didn't say that she was his "girlfriend"

2. Jason started liking Piper, Jason would've remembered Reyna as a girlfriend, Percy found out that Annabeth was his girlfriend, which means Jason would've have found out too if Reyna was his girlfriend.

3. Jason would be protective of Reyna, Jason and Piper broke up mostly because they wanted to protect each other.

4. In Mark Of Athena, Annabeth refers to Jason and Piper as a couple, saying that she felt bad for Reyna, I feel bad for her too.

If you don't agree with me on number two that Jason should have remembered Reyna as his girlfriend. Jason remembered a lot of detailed things when he was two years old. If he could remember that, he should have remembered Reyna as a girlfriend.

I don't have a problem with Jiper/Jasper I just think they had a wrong start into their relationship. You can't really blame Piper for her feelings, she was manipulated by Hera just like Jason and Leo and she really thought that her relationship with Jason was real.
She also didn't push him into a relationship after they all found out the truth, yes she still had feelings and she didn't hide them, but she didn't push Jason to feel the same.

As for people saying Reyna deserved him more, maybe you're right but it also didn't seem like Jason had feelings for her before he was switched with Percy. To me it seemed more like he just liked her like a really good friend.

Also since the end of The Lost Hero and The Mark of Athena some time has passed and at the beginning we found out that they became a couple, so they had some time to really get to know each other.

I get why people don't like Jiper/Jasper based on their relationship start and all but I don't hate them together. Are they as good as a couple as Percabeth? No, of course not. They probably will never but they could be a good and healthy couple with a little bit more time.

I dont really think their is any real chemistry or backstory between Piper and Jason, their time as friends and how they had got together was not real and only a trick that Hera had played. So Jason didnt even know Piper which means that their relationship was not legitimate. I also do think that Aphrodite did affect the relationship a little bit. I feel bad for Reyna and think that she deserved Jason, but Jasper happened.

Why do people hate Piper so much? Ugh!!! She helps the crew so much but people just to ignore that fact.
