Agent Zigzag discussion

A good writer so far. The hero seems to be one of those people with "character". Should be good.e

I'm new to goodreads and just found your post. I loved Zigzag. the author seems set to make his entire career out of British espionage during the war, which might be too much for me to chase down, but this book has it all, and supposedly, it really happened.

Excellent story

Reading war stories is not my cup of tea. Zig zag was a choice for my book club list. And I am grateful to the person who selected it. I'm glad you liked it. I have been a member of this club for over twenty years. If you can find one where you live and the members are congenial it may be a good choice for you.

Ah, well, the only book club I'm in is History Book Club, and I don't often buy from them, anymore. I'm a WW2 enthusiast and poke my head into nearly every corner of that topic I find. Zigzag is on the lighter end of the spectrum and a nice diversion from the heavier material to be found within the war.

I agree this book is probably on the lighter end of WW2 lit but it's what the British would call a 'ripping good yarn'. Zig-Zag is a great character and the cinematic narrative non-fiction style the author employs was a delight to read. You may not pass a history test reading this book but you'll probably enjoy it and have a lot to talk about with like minded friends.
