The follow up to that line is "Make your mind up, it's either you or a tattoo"

:-)"

Mwah ha hahargh!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I would answer that with "So what tattoo are you getting then?"

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I wonder would my train take me through NB nosemanny if it did we could collaborate and travel together! If I get this job in definitely coming. That will be my treat to myself with my pay rise

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments No, we're at the end of a branch line... But we could join up in Edinburgh. Depends if I can get time off though!

message 55: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Right enough, I'll need to wait and see about getting time off if I get this other job. That team might be more strict about time off than my team.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments A date needs setting still, doesn't it?

message 57: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments It does

message 58: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Don't go getting technical

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments It does need setting. I feel a bit guilty doing another one in Biggleswade but unless anyone else can find and organize a venue it is my best (and easiest) option.

If I book early enough some of you can take advantage of cheap rail tickets.

I was first thinking of 25/01 but thought that might be a bit soon after Christmas for some people.

I might be busy on 1st Feb (I need to check) so that would leave it 8th of Feb.

Rambling now :

It will either be 1st Feb or 8th Feb 2014

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments What shall we do?

Last time we had :
An Introduction
A short and very interesting reading
a question and answer session
a Discussion about writing and promoting
and a chat about how we could improve the group.
We rambled quite a bit too.
(Have I missed anything? Oh - Sandwiches)

Any ideas for the next event?

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments More cider.

message 62: by Marc (new)

Marc Nash (sulci) | 4313 comments is there a date set yet?

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Either the 1st or 8th of February it seems, from Simons post above.

Choose one Simon.

message 64: by Marc (new)

Marc Nash (sulci) | 4313 comments Thanks. If I can locate Biggelswade on my map of London that contains nothing beyond Watford, I'd aim to come

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Who had the pointy stick last??

message 66: by Marc (new)

Marc Nash (sulci) | 4313 comments Long way from Florida to Biggelswade

message 67: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I'll read the book if you bring it to the meet up.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Good grief.

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Hahaha!

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments The venue also has good quality real ale :-)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments You're there now, aren't you?

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Not yet Patti. I never drink before mid day. Except at airports which I consider to be out of normal time.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Fifteen minutes. Go now.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments NOON! go for it.

Sounds like my sort of venue...

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments I have booked the room provisionally for 8th February at 3pm. I will post a proper thread later.

I will be looking for content.....

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Now is the winter of our dis-content...

message 96: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I'm contented. Will that do? :)

message 97: by Lynda (new)

Lynda Wilcox (lyndawrites) | 1059 comments Hubby and I have set a fair few quizzes in the past for local charities. He asks the questions, I keep the scores. Don't mind doing a short one (say four rounds + one music round) if you'd like.

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Do they do rooms there? Might stop over.

And do some drinking for research purposes.
