Single White Vampire
question
Do you feel this is a new take about how vampires came to be?

To me this could be a more believable story line on how vampires could come to be.

I agree. With science and new technology who knows what another 100 yrs will bring. Face it "man" is always looking for ways to stay younger and stop the aging process and if possible live forever. I have enjoyed this take on the Vampire mythology.

I have Been reading this series over the Christmas / new year as I have read through 4 and on my 5th of them so far (books 10 to 14 it seemed to me a far more believable way for vampires to come about.
I do like the life mates angle as well , although imagine if it were hundreds of years before you met your life mate.
Christmas TV has been dire this year here in the UK ,Hence all the reading

I like the notion that scientific advances in nanotechnology could be used to create an advanced (stronger, more resilient) human, and that such advances would mimic mythological ideas of what a vampire is supposed to be.

I love this notion of how vampires came about. I can see how nanos could work in that way and that it would be a mistake in the science that causes the problems. I have to say, this is my favourite vampire series ever.
