No, it's not a paranormal romance series. It's a dark urban fantasy series with romance. Since the romance isn't the main part of the plot, it takes time to develop. I remember there being sexual tension but it takes them a while to actually become a couple.
I didn't care for Jericho Barrons -- I just thought he was an asshole -- but other people seem to really like the romance between Jericho and MacKayla.

Hang in there. I almost gave up after FaeFever (hated the end) but the series turned out surprisingly good. It was worth it.

But You Will Never be Disappointed in The Fever Series.I Devoted a Pinterest Page To Barron's .... Happy You Found The Series..;)

Hi Melissa, no, but I enjoyed the Fever series so much that one day I will read the Highlander series. Right now I really looking forward to reading Iced, and then I understand there are two more Fever books coming out and the next one gets back to Jerrico and Mac.

Oh....you should read her highlander series. I love her Fever series but her Highlander series is my all time favorite. In the fever series they introduce the Kelter Clan. The Highlander series are the Kelter Clan stories.

I've only read a few books of her Highlander series. They're not really my cuppa. I think I've read 3 of her highlander books & those were read out of order.
I cant remember which highlander book I read 1st, but I do know it wasn't the 1st book in that series. Then like a year or so later I read her Fever series. Then went back & read 2 more of her highlander books.

I have had the same feeling.I like her Highlander series better.

If you plan to read Iced afterwards, just be aware that it's told from Dani's perspective and there isn't much about Barrons and Mac in it, though I think that may be changing in the second book. I enjoyed Iced more than I thought I would, but I still think the fever series is better.
