Please sign in by posting on this thread the GR link to the book(s) you are putting forward for review. This will confirm you are ready to start, that you agree to abide by the group rules as stated below, and also give a simple link through to your book for your reviewer to post the review on GR.

Once you are all signed in I will post the listings for the 4 review rounds, the who reviews who stuff. You don’t have to put forward the same book for every round, but you can only ask for one review per round.

Group rules:

It is the responsibility of the author to get their book to their reviewer, preferably in the reviewer’s preferred format but minimum is PDF.
There are no set dates for the start of each round. You can each work at your own pace, within the limits of the round deadlines. When you have posted your review on GR please post a link to your review in this thread.

All reviews of 3, 4 or 5 stars must be posted to GR, Amazon .com and Amazon.co.uk.

If the rating is 1 or 2 stars, the review must be posted to GR but the author should be asked if they want the review to go to Amazon or not.

Postings to any other sites are by agreement by both author and reviewer.

Last call for Annabel...

Any word on replacing Annabel since we haven't heard from her? I'm dying to get started!

I was giving her this w/e to show up, but as she hasn't I'll be replacing her. The lists for who reviews who and when will posted in a few minutes.

For round 1 this will affect Enrico and Joshua - you can start on round 2 if you wish, or just wait a couple of days. I have other people who want to join a group, I just have to ask one of them.

Please remember the commitment you are making to your fellow group members. If you don’t think you can manage to do 4 book reviews in 12 weeks please let me know now. I will find someone else for this group and you will be able to choose a later group that will be more suitable for you. If you pull out after the start date for any reason it is the other members who will be faced with the problem of finding a replacement, or missing out on reviews, through no fault of their own. Please don’t ask the moderators to chase after replacements as we just don’t have the time.

If I’ve missed something that results in you being asked to review someone who has already reviewed you, please let me know asap. Now you are all ‘signed in’ you should start swapping books ready for the 4 rounds. The author is responsible for getting a copy of their book to their reviewers, either by email or Smashwords coupon. Try and accommodate each other’s preferences for format but if a PDF is all that’s available that’s fine. (There’s plenty of free software available for doing conversions if necessary.)
All reviews must be posted by 15 February 2014.

It's still not clear to me whether this group is only for novels or if serious non fiction and memoirs are welcome here. On the chance they are, I'll submit two for consideration, the first a short, light, fun memoir I published last year for a 101 year old friend and his 97 year old wife: "A Nice Car, A Good Woman, A Little Fun Every Day" (I'll provide a link if you are interested.) The second is my own book published this summer: "Truth & Freedom, A Match Made In Heaven" subtitled: Antivirus Protection For Your Cranial Computer" This is a Self-Help/How-To book showing how to get free and stay free from those who control through propaganda and psychological manipulation. I'll send a link if you are interested.

My apologies, Judy - it's extremely rude to get someone's name wrong. It was one typo that unfortunately then copied right the way through. Corrected now :)

Have not heard from anyone I am supposed to be reviewing.. I have sent my book to the reviewers for me.

Contact is sometimes a bit slow during the week - most of us have jobs and family to keep us busy. All members did sign in so are still on the scene, so it should all sort itself out within the next few days.
