Here's the topic for this month's book, Ghost Hawk! Let us know your thoughts while you're reading this one. :-)

Nanci | 64 comments I am liking this book so far. Not quite half-way and I am listening to it. Jim Dale reads it, which is kind of funny with his British accent this being about American Indians, but as I think about it, the Pilgrim settlers that the Indians deal with are actually from England so maybe that is the accent they would have learned. He is a great reader and I am enjoying it so far.

Nanci | 64 comments Shortly after I posted, as I was listening, the book took a strange turn. The rest of the story is actually told by the ghost of the main character who is tied to the land and the other main character John for some reason neither of them knows. I guess that is a little bit of a spoiler but not too bad. I liked the story. It gave the settling of the pilgrims in the new land from the American Indian point of view with some of the point of the view of the white man as well. It gives much to think about. I would put my rating about 3.5 because there are years that are sort of skipped over as John becomes a man. This is definitely worth reading. I would put the age range around 10-15 and it might be enjoyed by guys a little more than girls but I liked it.

Audio books are convenient for "reading" while driving in the car :-) Glad to hear you are enjoying it! Thank you for your input. I haven't read it yet since I'm having finals, but I will request it from my library and let you know what I think!
