Would gargoyles fit in this group? I'm looking for books where the hero is a gargoyle and I didn't want to start a new theme if those fit here. I already know of . Any suggestions would be welcome. If this isn't the place to ask, my apologies :)

I knew I had read a book about a gargoyle and finally remembered what it was. It is Forged. This is book 4 in Jacquelyn Frank's World of Nightwalker series and they are all quite good. I'd recommend reading them all just so you understand who all the other characters are. I love this series.

On the winged theme, I would recommend the Samaria series by Sharon Shinn. They're not very smutty, but very well written scifi/fantasy novels with sexy angels. Lots of feathers! I enjoyed the first three books a lot!
