Payten, it's wicked fun! Especially when you fill in the tricky letters, usually near the end of the year, for those, it seems like ;-).

Welcome to the challenge!
And welcome to Maarit as well!

:)

Six months of the year complete and I only have three letters left to finish.

Q-No selection yet
X-Plan on reading Xenocide

Currently reading Roads of Destiny to complete the letter R

I think this challenge is in the bag given I have 6 months left for 2 1/2 more books.

The Author Challenge that's where I am in big trouble.

message 107: by MK (new)

MK (wisny) | 2579 comments Awesome, Bob! Yes, I think you're set to finish on time :D.

No worries on Author - you still have six months! :)

message 114: by Julie (new)

Julie | 606 comments Congrats Kathy :-)

I still have R, U and Z to do myself, but I've pretty much decided what I will read for those, so I should get it done pretty soon :-)

message 115: by MK (new)

MK (wisny) | 2579 comments Kathy ... high five !!

message 116: by Julie (new)

Julie | 606 comments only Z to go! Have a few options for that, will probably decide which I will read in September :-)

message 117: by Maarit (new)

Maarit | 240 comments The X was proving to be difficult to me, but I came across this African book in the university library, which I will read: Xala. Z-letter I found by accident.

For other ABC's remaining, I've found a book to suit each one. Now it's just the matter of reading them :D.

message 119: by Maarit (new)

Maarit | 240 comments At the moment I'm missing these following letters: G,I,J,W and X. I will nail J, W and X as soon as I finish the corresponding books from my currently-reafing shelf, so it still leaves me with letters G and I.

It seems I'm not even close... I guess I could try looking for names in original/other languages but that wouldn't really feel right. I have been thinking that I might try my own version of this next year and take the Finnish alphabet but remove all the non-native letters (B, C, D, F, G, Q, W, X, Z, Å). Then I might have a chance in completing it without resorting to other languages.

Aprilleigh (aprilleighlauer) | 333 comments I had to bow out for reasons explained in the edit of my first post here. I wish everyone the best of luck, and I'll do my best to help everyone find books for the elusive last few letters.

Connie Cote Just finished U but won't have time to get my V book read. I will save it for the 2015 challenge. I was so close!
