I "like" and "follow" back, but since I am a new author with few people following, it's easy for me to notice if I'm no longer followed or liked. If it happens, I also remove myself from the said-person's FB or Twitter. Fair's fair. But like Aaro, I do love keeping in touch and supporting others. :)

I'm not sure if anyone here would do that since it seems as though putting out a call for support is usually a two-way street.

Twitter in particular can be so irritating with programs used to enhance a following. For example, I've been followed by a few folks with 150K followers, and after following back, I'll notice about a week or so later that I had been removed, leaving them with my follow to add to their numbers. The result with this sort of bot used on Twitter is that someone can appear to be outrageously popular, while only following maybe a handful of people back.

Luckily on my app, I can just scroll through my Following, and if I no longer see "Follows You", I can in turn remove them.

That is, unless, it's Penn Jillette. :)

You may want to consider it. I set up mine about six months before my book was published as an author-work-in-progress to generate interest, to start promoting and get people talking. Then I had press releases made and ready to post by the time it was published. :)

Gotcha! It's okay, it's a privacy setting, and it's good to have on Facebook anyway. :)

I am just getting the hang of Twitter--period! It is annoying to me any way I look at it, but unfortunately, a necessary evil if I want to get my name out there.

And, I've had an account there for years. I guess I'm a late bloomer.

I am terrible at twitter. Have had several accounts. It seems too much to keep up with at times. I prefer Facebook and forums.

Liked your page D. I also read the above and noticed you now have the Goodreads widget on your page. I don't see Asa's answer though. Would you mind passing that info on? Thank you!

I went back to my settings and it was pretty self explanatory. You can add the widget to your fb page to your website etc. Hope it helps!
