Stephen (sawinkler) | 45 comments It struck me the other day how many books I've read as a result of being part of this group, so I started a bookshelf just to see. Judging by the reviews I've given them, the hits have definitely outweighed the misses. So, thank you to not just Michael and Ann, but all of you.

How many books do you think BOTNS has lead you to?

Stephanie I also created a BOTNS shelf. After I listen to the podcast, I add the titles that interest me. I have about 120 books on my shelf, and I have read 24 of them. I think the only one that really disappointed me was Poe's Children. I read it in the fall, when I usually look for mysteries and something spooky to read under the covers, but this one was off the mark for me.

I started a BOTNS shelf too! Right now there are just six books on it but I know that it will keep growing. And like you, Stephen, I have rarely been disappointed in their recommendations.

Stephen (sawinkler) | 45 comments I have the same problem, Stephanie. It's tough not to add ALL of the books from the Podcast to my TBR list.

I think the best recommendation for a book I NEVER would have picked up was The History of Love A Novel by Allison Nicole Krauss. The cover is so "the Notebook" that I probably dismissed it a few times on sight. After reading the reviews here, I bought it for my wife and then she made me read it because it was so good. Definitely a favorite from 2009.

Vanessa | 330 comments That is so funny. I created a BOTNS shelf too and thought that I was weird.

I BELIEVE Allison Krauss is married to Jonathan Safran Foer, who is also an amazing writer. Extremely Loud and Incredible Close is now one of my favorite books.

Vanessa | 330 comments I was going to ask if that was Allison Krauss the bluegrass singer. It looks like her name is Nicole Krauss. I was kind of hoping Allison Krauss was just creatively fertile and diverse tho.

OMG, I'm amazed that there are so many BOTNS bookshelves out there! I don't even have one! (er... guess I should fix that).

Thank you all!

Graceann (silentsgirl) | 26 comments I haven't added this only because I don't add books to my TBR shelves unless I have them in hand.

On another note, I met Glen David Gold last night and got my very own signed copy of Sunnyside. I've been a fan for a while, but it was thanks to BOTNS that I found out a new book was (finally) coming, so thanks for that! He's a doll.

Haha...I was thinking that looked funny when I responded, but I couldn't think of her first name. I went with Allison. Yes - NICOLE.
